Important Information for Affiliate Managers

Affiliate Managers – Read before contacting.

Are you contacting us to get your casino/s reviewed?

The first thing you should consider is our Auditing Service. Nearly 9 in every 10 casinos we review end up not qualifying to receive traffic from us. The most effective way to get a positive start for your program is to ensure any problems are fixed before we publish a review. You can contact us to request an Audit at audit@thepogg.com. There is a fee associated with an Audit. Do not email requesting an Audit if you are not already familiar with the cost.

The vast majority of requests we get from Affiliate Managers to review their casinos are redundant as it’s the usual that their casino is already on our list.

There are three contributing factors for why this happens;

  • The casino property is listed on the site as Not Recommended and as such we do not link to the casino and are not a member of the affiliate program (that’s why you can’t find us in your system).
  • The Affiliate Manager has not checked our review listings on this page – http://thepogg.com/casino-review/
  • Our geotargetting system does not display casinos that someone from your location cannot sign up to. So for instance, if you’re based in Costa Rica and your casino does not accept Costa Rican players, you will need to reset the location toggle at the top right of the list to show all casinos, then look for your casino. You can also use our search feature to search the entire site for your casino.

Please ensure that you have checked that your casino is not already listed before you contact us. If you’ve done the above feel free to make your request here*.

*Please do NOT include links to your casino either in this thread or in your profile – given the industry we work in this looks really spammy. Casino reps who post a link with their requests will find that this will impact the Trustworthiness stat of all their venues by -2. This will take 12 months of no issues to remove.

Also be aware that we do not work with Affiliate Networks. We’ve nothing against these businesses, but as the main function of ThePOGG.com is to resolve player complaints it’s far more efficient for us to have a direct contact at all the casinos the site works with rather than adding in an extra layer of personnel between our service and the casino rep qualified to discuss the issue.

Are you looking to improve the positioning of your casino?

ThePOGG.com does not offer improvements in position for any form of financial incentive. This includes increased Rev Share, upfront payments and additional CPA payments. Improved bonus offers will have some impact on the Overall Rating, but bear in mind that the bonus rating only makes up 10% of the overall rating and as such has a limited impact.

Due to the sheer volume of requests we get to help improve casino operator’s services, it’s become impractical both in and time and a financial sense to invest the necessary attention in every request. As such anything beyond very basic feedback (which you should be able to extract from your review pages) is unlikely to be given. If you want to receive more detailed feedback to help you improve you should consider our Auditing service.

What will happen if I ignore the above advice?

In short, there’s a very good chance that you’ll get no response.

At the present time ThePOGG.com operates off of a small but experienced team. We have one of the largest casino reviews sections to be found online and work with hundreds of different affiliate programs and that’s over and above our terms and conditions monitoring service, our casino complaints service, POGGStragies, POGGWebmasters and our message boards. A small number of people’s time split in that many directions does not stretch very far. We need the programs that are keen to work with this site to get on board and make sure they’ve done the ground work before contacting us, rather than placing repeated requests to get reviews for casinos that are already listed or asking to buy what we don’t sell.

If you’ve already prepared yourself and know the right questions to ask it’s obviously easier for us to deal with your enquiry. If you’re asking questions that you should be able to find answers to yourself, your email is likely to fall low down the list of priorities.
