Personally I wouldn't consider Gibraltar particularly reputable. My over riding impression of them is as basically a mouth piece for the powerful operators that have set up shop there.

I'd also say that New Jersey allowed only a few operators through the door and it's the same ones that Gibraltar focus on. They've got to be better than the rogues that function unlicensed in the US market, but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone with a choice.

Hello!
I wish I could be a great webmaster, but now I have no ideas how to do it. You wrote a lot of words what good casinos should be. I want to earn money through affiliate programms. I beg you for advice: what additional information shoud I know to promote casinos? Am I right that there are a lot of risks, if casino have no licence like Malta or UK? Which casinos can you sdvice?

Hi Kurt Stain - welcome to ThePOGG.com!

What you've asked is a very big topic. In fact whole sites could be written on it.

In the first instance you should understand that it's far tougher to run a successful affiliate site today than it was 10 years ago. In fact, without experience in the programming of SEO fields it took years of work to build ThePOGG.com to the point that it was bringing in a reasonably steady income. There's still a lot of work to do in that respect for both POGGStrategies.com and POGGWebmasters.com.

The short of the above is that it's not by any stretch easy or fast money imo.

If this is something you're still interested in doing, my advice would be to find something unique or special. You need to find s niche where you can either offer something that isn't widely available (and that player's want) or something that you can do better than is currently being done.

After that I'd strongly encourage you to be careful about which programs you choose to work with. ThePOGG.com covers a wide swath of the industry, but from an affiliate perspective, POGGWebmasters.com is probably a better resource. It both highlights player issues alongside a complete review of affiliate terms and conditions and affiliate issues. The site still needs some work from a programming perspective, but the content and resources are there and I personally feel it makes a great starting point for any new affiliate.

Hope the above helps,

TP

Thank you for the answer! It's very useful for me. So, the main thing is SEO you told, but I have no experience in it. What can you advice to start with?

@Kurt Stain: Without experience in the fields of SEO/ marketing or fundamental knowledge about online casinos I would not recommend anyone to touch the affiliate business. Starting any such project from scratch will take either a -lot- of work and/ or financial resources. Of course you could still use unique routes to generate traffic but this will take a lot of creativity and knowledge in a specific niche.

I know that I've chosen not the easiest way to start, but I want to start with the begining and improove my knowledge step by step. If you can advice me anything, please do it. If you are there to stop me and my wishes, then don't waste my time, please :) I'm sure I'll do my best in future, but there will be a lot of fails for sure. And Fail is the experience to grow :)

Excellent post, I agree with you 100%! I’m always scouring the Internet for new information and learning whatever I can, and in doing so I sometimes leave comments on blogs. I don’t do it for SEO purposes necessarily, but to learn new things.

@Kurt Stain: Of course you can but it will be a challenging path. First you should think about how you intend to get visitors to your brands. If you want to build a website you can do it step by step, but do not make any mistakes with SEO while you are at it. Alternatively you can try recruiting traffic through alternative sources such as emails, social media or anything else that comes to your mind.

As far as the affiliate programs go, you should also make the right decisions and only promote reputable brands. This will make things for you and the customers you refer a lot better in the long run.
