Double Exposure Blackjack Review

Overview

This game is provided by Slotty Vegas

Double Exposure Blackjack is one of many variations on the classic game of Blackjack.

While there are many similarities between standard Blackjack and Double Exposure Blackjack, there are also some substantial differences. When playing Double Exposure Blackjack the dealer wins all ties other than tied Blackjack which the player wins. Alongside this Blackjack (an Ace and a Ten) only pays 1 to 1, less than the normal 3 to 2.

Both the above rules substantially disadvantage the player. To make up for that where the dealer would usually play one of their cards face up and the other face down, they will play both cards face up. This means that the player knows exactly what the dealer’s hand is when they are making their playing decisions.

Like regular Blackjack, Double Exposure Blackjack has a Basic Strategy that will minimise the player’s disadvantage. You can find this strategy here;

The House Edge for Double Exposure Blackjack depends on the rules you are playing against and that you use the optimal strategy in the Basic Strategy table above, but online seems fairly consistent at ~0.61%.
