Aramon’s 2014/15 NFL Picks: Week 13 (Sunday)

Posted by THEPOGG on Nov 30, 2014

NFL

Even Thanksgiving day wasn’t kind to us this season with our picks. What an incredible rough stretch it’s been. Even if I had evaluated a few picks wrong, the bad luck has far surpassed what could have been poor picks. But I will not falter in my confidence! For better or worse this is why we start every season with a bankroll. Even if it is severely depleted at the moment we still have life in it and will put it to the test with some big time wagers! Lets hope this is the beginning of an equally large upswing to match what has been a brutal down swing. As we have 2 big plays today with a max bet and a near max bet, lets hope today starts our climb back!

Houston Texans -7 over Tennessee Titans : Bet 8 units

The Titans come into Houston today coming off of an embarrassing blow out loss to the Eagles last week. It’s par for the course on how the season has gone as this has been the Titans worst start to the season since moving to Tennessee. Besides their surprise upset win over the Chiefs in week one, the only win they have been able to muster has been against one of the worst teams in the league, the Jacksonville Jaguars. Houston on the other hand has played inconsistently, but has managed to handle their business against bad teams being perfect against the spread in every game in which they were favored. This includes the week 8 meeting between these 2 teams where the Texans came away with a 30-16 victory. This game looks to be much of the same. The Texans get there star RB Arian Foster back today which should spell big trouble for a Titan defense that is very poor against the run and surrendered up over 150 yards rushing to Foster in their first meeting. Meanwhile, while Titan QB Zach Mettenberger has been fairly decent this year, Tennessee’s offensive line has had trouble protecting him. This will be a major issue with a defense led by superstar J.J. Watt pressuring him all day. This should be a real hard long day for the Titans as they just match up poorly against this Texans team.

New England Patriots/Green Bay Packers take the over total 57 : Bet 10 units

This game is what many are calling the preview for the Super Bowl. What arguably may be the 2 best teams in each of their conferences face off today in Lambeau Field. Even if they aren’t the best, there really are none hotter. And speaking of hot, the Packers QB Aaron Rodgers comes into this game the best QB in the league and virtually unstoppable. Even with the improved Patriot secondary with cornerbacks Revis and Browner, stopping this Packer offense has been quite impossible. With Rodgers ability to extend plays with his mobility in the pocket, his big time stud receivers Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb are uncoverable. The packers offense has been so hot that they are an unbelievable 9-2 to the over total this season, usually neeeding little help from their opponent.Well today they will get it. The Patriots themselves are an impressive 8-3 to the over. Patriot QB Tom Brady has been called by many the best cold weather QB of this generation, and with clear weather and cold temps in Green Bay today, I expect a huge game from Brady. With his unstoppable weapon in tight end Rob Gronkowski, expect TD’s not field goals when th Pats hit the red zone. The Patriots also have an edge in the run game that should make their offensive onslaught balanced and hard for the Packers to defend. This game should be established very early as a high scoring affair, and should be a pleasure to watch as two future hall of fame QB’s go at it.
