Aramon’s 2014/15 NFL Picks: Week13 (Thursday)

Posted by THEPOGG in Blog.

NFL

Well we have really been hitting the skids at the moment. What makes these losses so hard is in how close we are every week to getting monster wins only to lose by a point here and there and totally change our positive into a deficit. Well we still have a lot more football to be played and I have never been one to give in to bad luck. As long as there are games to be played we have a chance to come back. And what better day to start than on Thanksgiving Thursday! Today we will give thanks to the 2 plays that will start our climb back! Have a great holiday and enjoy what should be the good fortune that has alluded us as of late.

Due to a very disappointing season by the Bears this season this game doesn’t really have the playoff implications that would have been expected earlier in the year. But it still is a division rivalry game by 2 teams in the Bears and Lions, that have had quite unpredictable seasons thus far. Detroit for the most part has had a very good season and boasts one of the best defenses in the NFL. However, surprisingly enough their offense has been very poor and having lost the last 2 games going into this one the Lions really need to find an answer for that if they truly would like to make noise in the playoffs, or even get there if they do not fix the offensive woes. The Bears on the other hand come into this game off a 2 game win streak and while still not looking incredibly impressive, have the offensive weapons at every skill position to put up some points. As long as Chicago QB Jay Cutler minimizes his turnovers and mistakes, the Lions will have to score much more than they have in recent weeks to win this game. I believe the Detroit defense is capable of not letting the Bears run away with anything, so I believe th score should stay very close and competitive, which should give a nice edge to Chicago getting a full touchdown in points.

What a great game for a Thanksgiving day! Two NFC East division rivals battling it out for 1st place of the division and both teams with big time offenses. This has all the makings of a big time shoot out, and I’m very sure they will not disappoint. While neither team has a horrible defense, both teams have stellar offenses that neither defense will have an answer for. The Eagles have the fastest paced offense in the league, meaning they move the ball quickly and can score without taking much time off the clock. This allows the Cowboys high powered offense lots of time to operate and put up their points as well. With Dallas QB Tony Romo leading the way with his incredible supporting cast of WR Dez Bryant, Terrence Williams, TE Jason Witten and NFL leading rusher DeMarco Murray, these cowboys can hang a big number on an Eagles team known for their offense. And the Eagles with their lightning paced offense and perfect scheme should put up their typical 30+ points today. This will be a fun one and should be competitive as well. But don’t expect to see the punters for either team very much today, this is going to be a barn burner.
