Aramon’s NFL Picks Week 10 part 1

Posted by THEPOGG on Nov 08, 2012

Even though Monday nights game didn’t go our way, we still have nice momentum heading into this weeks game. I believe these weeks to come have great potential. The teams are now well established with lots of history and data for us to evaluate. This is the time of the season I really like. To be in the positive right now gives us a great chance to add to our winning totals. I believe tonights game starts our week off strong, and hopefully leads us to our 4th straight positive week.

A recap of Monday’s result and where we stand to date:

Monday Night’s results : -4 units
10% house vig on losses : -0.4 units
Total to date : +10.4 units profit

For information purposes the betting size suggested is based on a bankroll of 100 units. So if you had a bankroll of £1000 and the suggested bet was 5 units, simply divide £1000 by 100 (=£10) and multiply that by 5 (=£50). A running total will be kept at the top of each pick article so that you can keep track of how well/poorly Aramon is doing this season.

Tonights game as I see it:

For those not familiar with sportsbetting when a number is shown next to a team’s name that number represents the handicap for an even money wager. So in our first pick of this week the Indianapolis Colts would need to win by 3 points or more for us to win our bet.

Indianapolis Colts -3 over Jacksonville Jaguars : Bet 6 units

Result : Indianapolis Colts 27 – 10 Jacksonville Jaguars

Many other experts are calling this a trap game for the Colts and that the Jaguars should pull off the upset. I couldn’t disagree more. Eventhough the Jaguars did in fact beat the Colts earlier in the year in week 3, these teams are just not the same teams 2 months later. First off in their 1st meeting Jacksonville had superstar running back Maurice Jones Drew steamrolling over the Colts for 177 yards rushing. Well he is out for this game and has been for the last 3. During that time the Jaguars running game has been anemic. Another big difference is Colts rookie star Quarterback Andrew Luck was only in his 3rd game as a pro in their September meeting. Two months later, he has matured and is leading the Colts into just what may be playoff contention. Last week Luck threw for a rookie record 432 yards against a tough Miami defense, and with All Pro Wide Receiver Reggie Wayne, leading the league with 835 receiving yards, catching those passes, Andrew Luck has been something special of late. So while the Colts seem to be hitting stride pushing for playoff contention, the Jaguars have been abysmal losing 5 straight. Jaguars are at home tonight where they have not been competitive getting outscored 124-36. The Colts on the other hand have allowed only 46 points in their 3 game winning streak. No upset here, a team on the rise, soundly beats the team on the downslide.
