Aramon’s NFL Picks Week 15 Part 1

Posted by THEPOGG on Dec 14, 2012

Well Monday night was another spectacular result for us as we cashed in on 2 bets for one game. We have now risen the bankroll by over 50% on the season, and there is more sure to come. Tonight gives us a chance to ease into this week with a little cushion for Sunday, it just may be a big one.

A recap of Monday’s result and where we stand to date:

Monday’s results : +13.0 units
10% house vig on losses : 0.0 units
Total to date : +50.4 units profit

For information purposes the betting size suggested is based on a bankroll of 100 units. So if you had a bankroll of £1000 and the suggested bet was 5 units, simply divide £1000 by 100 (=£10) and multiply that by 5 (=£50). A running total will be kept at the top of each pick article so that you can keep track of how well/poorly Aramon is doing this season.

Tonight’s Game as I see it:

For those not familiar with sportsbetting when a number is shown next to a team’s name that number represents the handicap for an even money wager. So in our first pick of this week the Cincinnati Bengals must win by more than 4.5 (5) points for us to win this bet. So place this wager at any book that offer an even money wager with the Bengals handicapped by 4.5 point or less.

Cincinnati Bengals -4.5 over Philadelphia Eagles : Bet 5 units

Result : Cincinnati Bengals 34 – 13 Philadelphia Eagles

This is a game that pits pride against playoffs. At this point all the Eagles can play for is pride, while the Bengals are in serious need of a win to have a chance at the playoffs. Well in this case, the Eagles pride doesn’t stand a chance. Even though the Eagles have looked better as of late, and coming off a thrilling win against Tampa Bay, match ups make the difference and this match up does not bode well for Philly. The Bengals come into this game with the leading pass rush with 42 sacks. Eagles rookie quarterback Nick Foles coming off his best game as a pro last week against a soft Tampa defense, will be running for his life tonight. To add to his misery his safety valve receiver, tight end Brent Celek is out with a concussion so his short options for quick release will be limited. Eagle rookie running back Bryce Brown was so good for his first 2 weeks but last week was held to just 6 yards on 12 carries. I don’t expect him to find much room to run tonight either as Bengals can pass rush without a blitz and keep men in the box for a tough run defense. The Bengals need this win bad for a possible playoff berth and besides dropping a game to an emotionally charged Dallas team coming off a team tragedy, Cincinnati has been playing good football. Bengal quarterback Andy Dalton has been quiet the past few weeks as well as his star wide receiver A.J. Green. Expect that to change tonight as they pound the weak Philly defense with healthy doses of running back Ben Jarvus Green Ellis, which should open up nice play action shots down field. Philly has played better lately, but the Bengals just are better, and they have a lot on the line tonight that I can’t see them giving it up to an inferior team.
