Well it finally happened….we swept the day Sunday! Not that I knew that would happen, but I did believe the fluke of the devastating one day loss of week 6 would come around and offer good fortune the other way as long as we stayed consistent to the course and analyzed each week wisely. Betting within the bankroll, and keeping a steady grind of well thought out picks allows for the results to either rise or receed to the median. That is just why we don’t over celebrate yesterday’s great win (although I will a little lol), nor do we sulk about a bad loss. Its the nature of the beast. The end result need be only to make money. As I say all the time, if the trend is moving up, which it has been, then the money will come. Now lets see if Monday Night Football allows us to add to our bank, I’m betting it does.
A recap of Sundays results and where we stand to date:
|Sunday Night’s results :
|10% house vig on losses :
|Total to date :
||+14.8 units profit
For information purposes the betting size suggested is based on a bankroll of 100 units. So if you had a bankroll of £1000 and the suggested bet was 5 units, simply divide £1000 by 100 (=£10) and multiply that by 5 (=£50). A running total will be kept at the top of each pick article so that you can keep track of how well/poorly Aramon is doing this season.
Monday Night’s pick as I see it:
For those not familiar with sportsbetting when a number is shown next to a team’s name that number represents the handicap for an even money wager. So in our first pick of this week the Philadelphia Eagles could lose this game by 3 points or less (or win) and we’ll win this bet. Only if the Eagles are beaten by 4 or more points do we lose.
Philadelphia Eagles +3 over New Orleans Saints : Bet 4 units
Result : Philadelphia Eagles 13 – 28 Ne Orleans Saints
Eagle quarterback Micheal Vick is on the hot seat as well as is his Coach Andy Reid. Vick being one of the most athletic and gifted quarterbacks to ever step on a football field has been prone to mistakes this year that has lead to a supremely talented Eagles team to underperform. This has also made head coach Andy Reid potentially on the verge of losing his job. A great player and great coach playing for their job. Well the New Orleans Saints are just what the doctor ordered for what ails the Eagles. The Saints come in with a 2-5 record and the absolute worst defense in the history of the NFL. They are averaging giving up 476 yards of offense per game! That is the most since the NFL started keeping records of that sort of stuff back in the 1940’s. Granted Saints Drew Brees is great and will always get his points, but the Eagle offense has so much fire power with outstanding running back LeSean McCoy, and super speedster wide receiver DeSean Jackson, not to mention a now healthy Jeremy Maclin, that they should be able to outscore even the Bree’s led Saints. There is a saying among lines makers, if 2 teams are playing and the one getting the points has the better defense, thats the team to pick. And yes, Philly’s defense is not only much better than the Saints defense, its actually a very good defense ranked 9th in the league. The Saints are a big drop off in talent from what the Eagles have been facing in recent weeks, and to be noted, their loss to Atlanta (the only undefeated team in the league) was only the 2nd Eagle loss of the season where the outcome was not decided by 3 points or less. Micheal Vick and coach Reid save their jobs tonight in a high scoring game.
