The site’s just gone live and we’ve missed the first few weeks of the NFL season, but our knowledgeable friend and pro blackjack player fancies themselves as a bit of an NFL expert. As such they’ll be offering their weekly top tips exclusively here on ThePOGG.com. Follow along and see how well they do.
For information purposes the betting size suggested is based on and bankroll of 100 units. So if you had a bankroll of £1000 and the suggested bet was 5 units, simply divide £1000 by 100 (=£10) and multiply that by 5 (=£50). A running total will be kept at the bottom of all subsequent weeks picks so that you can keep track of how well/poorly Aramon is doing this season.
For those not familiar with sportsbetting when a number is shown next to a team’s name that number represents the handicap for an even money wager. So in our first pick of this week the Atlanta Falcons would have to beat the Oakland Raiders by 9.5 points or more (i.e. 10 points as you can’t get half points. So place this wager at any book offer an even money wager with Atlanta handicapped by 9.5 points or less.
Atlanta Falcons -9.5 over Oakland Raiders : Bet 8 units
Big wager here, but the Raiders are just 5-23 when playing in the eastern time zone. Add in the fact that the Falcons are almost perfect at home under coach Mike Smith and Quarterback Matt Ryan, and this one looks real good for home team Atlanta.
Minnesota Vikings pk em over Washington Redskins : Bet 5 units
In total contrast to the Atlanta Falcons, the Washington Redskins are abysmal at home. They have lost their last 8 in a row at their home in Fed Ex field. The Vikings come in red hot and its not likely the Redskin defense will stop a heavy dose of Running Back Adrian Peterson and long shots downfield to Harvin. Washington Quarterback RGIII looks to be able to start this week after sustaining a concussion, but remains to be seen how effective he can be.
Houston Texans -3.5 over Green Bay Packers : Bet 5 units
The long and short of this game is, this ain’t the Packers of last year….period. Aaron Rodgers is really struggling and starting, Running Back Cedric Benson is out. Houston lost a key player in Brian Cushing last week, but with no running threat from the Packers I see very little opportunity for them to capitalize on this. Houston stays hot and on top against the Pack.
