Overview
Without question one of the newer groups in the online gaming market, GameScale are the proprietary platform (their own software) from the Conan Gaming group. GameScale can only be found at
Cosmik casino and
Deuce Club casino casinos and should be noted that both casinos are in the
casino blacklist.
GameScale offer both a download and an instant play platform, thought the game selection seems to be the same at both. The graphics fall short of the up market software platforms and while the gameplay is fairly smooth the table games are a little slow but this can be improved by switching to ‘Turbo’ mode.
Game selection is reasonably good for one of the smaller software providers, with a good range of slots games (assuming you count in the
BetSoft casinos slots games that have been bought into both the GameScale casinos), a half dozen video poker games and most of the common table games. The only two table games that stood out as missing were Craps and Texas Hold ‘Em Bonus. It should be noted that GameScale casinos are one of the few places that are allowed to offer
Geoff Hall’s Blackjack Switch.
The GameScale slots games are a fairly stripped down affair with only the most basic of bonus features where there are any and no Return To Player (RTP)/house edge information included. There is an autospin feature but it’s fairly crude, allowing you only to start and stop the autoplay and not providing any settings to stop if the win exceeds X, after a certain number of spins or if a bonus feature is hit.
The GameScale Video Poker games are probably amongst the weakest graphically available through this platform, but they do provide a reasonable speed of play and an auto-hold feature that will always hold a winning hand. You can turn the auto-hold feature off on some games if you wish. The video poker games all come with a Double-Up option, unfortunately this will appear after every hand and has to be dismissed by clicking a separate button each time (you can’t simply click ‘Deal’ again). It should also be noted that you can play multiple hands at one time if you increase the number of ‘Lines’.
GameScale are unlikely to become a widely used platform in today’s online gaming market, where software providers like
Net Entertainment casinos, BetSoft and
Playtech casinos are rapidly taking graphics and game play to previously unknown heights, but the software is far from the worst we’ve seen and given its relative obscurity, may be worth checking out if you’re looking for some new games to play.
