BetChain - refusing to honour clearly worded bonus offer

Ruling

Found for the Casino - This player has been trying to register from a restricted country. As such BetChain are within their rights to decline their play.

Read our BetChain Casino Review.

Player's Complaint

They did not honour their bonus offer. They offered me a 100% deposit bonus plus 50 complimentary spins and despite using the provided link and depositing they did not give it to me. I still have a screenshot of the link used which clearly and only states "Deposit today and receive 100% match bonus 50 complimentary spins!"

I emailed support to complain and they are still refusing to honour the bonus. They claim that is only for first time depositors but it does not say that anywhere. Trust me I looked, not to mention it was geared to me and only visible once I logged in. [EDIT]

Hi marchalk - welcome to ThePOGG.com!

Firstly - I've edited your complaint to remove accusations that you cannot back up. Please don't post further content of this nature as it only makes your complaint more difficult to manage.

Can you provide me with a link to the page where you saw this offer?

Thanks,

ThePOGG

Hi marchalk,

The fundamentals of your case are quite straight forward. In 2015 you had an account with BetChain. As a US resident they should not have accepted your custom then but as a BitCoin user they'd failed to verify your residence. When you returned to play recently you were asked for documentation and as the operator realised that you are a US citizen your account was restricted. This is in line with the following term:

"As you are aware, the right to access and/or use the Website (including any or all of the products offered via the Website) may be illegal in certain countries. You are solely responsible for determining whether your accessing and/or use of the Website is compliant with applicable laws in your jurisdiction and you warrant to us that gambling is not illegal in the territory where you reside. Any claim against the Company brought by you for any reason whatsoever in regard to the above mentioned will be considered void and shall not be accepted. We apologize but players from Israel, Spain, the UK and the USA are prohibited from playing real money wagering games at BetChain."

My understanding is that you've subsequently gone on to set up other accounts and tried to claim their welcome bonus. As you already have an account, even if the operator did accept players from the US, you would not be entitled to receive this bonus.

While this complaint raises other issues related to US players having accessed BetChain casino in 2015, you complain in of itself isn't valid.

I'm sorry we cannot be of further help,

ThePOGG
