Casillion - casino accetting uk players without a Uk license and not respecting the self-exclusion rules


Found for the Player - Casillion casino have accepted a UK player without a UKGC license and refused to discuss this complaint.

Player's Complaint

Hi there,

My name is [EDIT] and registered myself at Casillion under the nickname of [EDIT] and I registered with this email ; [EDIT]

I should not have been able to register as this casino as they have no jurisdiction in the U.K. they have absolutely no licence to operate within this country - so say all of the casino websites. But the issue very clearly lies with the fact that they allowed me to register, deposit and play unlawfully and when I asked to close my account under self-exclusion they still let me reopen the account even though I have sent an email saying I was vulnerable gambler.

I am asking politely to help me to get a full refund as I should not have been allowed to join this casino! It's really quite simple. And I will advise that they shouldn't allow U.K players to join without the correct licence requirements.

Each casino are obligated to provide details of an arbitrary body but they are totally ignoring my emails

Is it legal???

They are ignoring my request and saying is the player responsibility but surely the license holder should not even give the option to Uk players to register on the first place and even when they got my documents they mentioned nothing, I only discovered this because I was reporting them to don't respect the self-excluion rules.

This is so bad, that's why they don't respect the self-exclusion rules as they broke all the rules!!!

Here is a formal request of refund for every single penny I ever played in this site.

I do have a prove I asked for self-exclusion and also the email where I have sent my documents, so they can't even say they didn't know I was playing from the UK.

You must stop this casino accepting UK in their site as they have not license.

Hi icnusa - welcome to!

Unfortunately it's very unlikely that we can do anything to help you.

In the first instance you are correct that Casillion are not UKGC licensed and as such if they are accepting UK players they are doing so in breach of UK law. We will inform the UKGC of this breach but it is very unlikely to result in you having your funds returned.

The license that Casillion do hold in Curacao does not impose any requirements on licensees to engage any type of problem gambling policies. As such they will not be in violation of their Curacao license.

Finally, Casillion have previously been non-responsive to player complaints posted at this site. As such it is unlikely we will receive any response from them. Nevertheless I'll try to contact the operator and see if we can find out anything for you.

I have little faith too to be honest as the egaming company of Curacao told me they have nothing to do with them .

But it's really bad that they are letting peole from Uk registering and taking money when they are not allowed and on top explotting problem gamblers as selfexclusion requests are totally ignore.

Please advice Uk players to stay far from this site .

I tried to report them also to askgamblers but my complaint was declined so this site can operate illegally without players be aware that they have not cover or protction from this casino .

Ill still wait u never know..what else i can do ? can i ask my bank to get charge backs since they are not operating as they should ?

Thanks a lt for your time i will opt for this site instead of ASKGAMLERS since they let me down big time .

Regarding your bank and chargebacks, that may be possible, but you would have to speak to your bank provider to get more information.

Hi there , not reply form my side neither , i contacted their licese holder but they dont care as they are aware they breaching the law , i will contact my bank to see if i can get charge backs .

Please in the mean time make Uk payers aware this casino is breaching the law and they should stop accpeting players form the Uk.

Hi icnusa,

While we have had a response from Casillion they have only told us that this issue has been reviewed by their Curacao regulator that supported them. As I've explained to Casillion the Curacao regulators are not well thought of within the industry as a complaint management body. When we requested that they review the case with us they became non-responsive. As such there's unfortunately nothing further we can do to assist you with this issue.

We have informed the UKGC regarding this operator accepting UK players without a license.

Hi can you advise if you had any luck with your bank in regards to charge banks as it's a route I think I may need to go down ?

Hi babagirlb,

I have not personally, nor has ThePOGG as a company, ever had any reason to charge back a transaction with a gambling operator. I'm afraid you will have to speak to your bank for further advice on this issue.
