Player's Complaint

I opened an account 2 days ago and deposited around £295. My husband said to me he Thought I had an account with them some years ago. I checked and it was true I had an old account which was still excluded. Ladbrokes are solely blaming me and not offering to refund my deposits which I think is greedy and disgusting

Hi bee2121 - welcome to ThePOGG.com!

Firstly, Ladbrokes are a group that are typically non-responsive to complaints posted with this service. As such it's unlikely we'll be able to do anything to help you.

Secondly, when you enter into a self-exclusion agreement you are agreeing not to try to re-register to circumvent the exclusion and access the gambling service again. Most operators - including Ladbrokes - will have systems in place that will detect and prevent the registration of duplicate accounts. If you've managed to register a second account that would mean that you've changed the details you used at registration in such a way that the system could not automatically pick-up the duplicate account. That would likely make your claim weak.

I will contact the operator and try to discuss this issue with them, but you need to understand from the outset that the chances of success are low.

If you're struggling to control your gambling I would recommend that you install our new free app BetBlocker that will prevent your device from accessing over 4k different gambling operators' websites.

Thanks,

ThePOGG

Hi bee2121,

Unfortunately after repeated efforts to communicate with Ladbrokes about this issue what-so-ever. At this juncture I have no reasonable expectations of this position changing in the near future.

At this stage all I can recommend you do is contact Ladbrokes' ADR IBAS.

Sorry we could not be of more help!
