Marathon Bet - Speculative Bid rule 4 deduction

Resolved - Before we could get hold of MarathonBet the player had managed to resolve this issue via sportsbook support.

Player's Complaint

I have had 3 bets with MarathonBet subject to a rule 4 deduction on Donncha in the 3.15 Ascot race on 25th July. Please see below for details of bets.

The £33.5 ew single bet on Donncha was initially settled correctly at £125.63 at 3.22pm presumably when the weighed-in notice was given. However, this was subsequently reduced to £107.20 after a rule 4 deduction was made at 4.07pm following an announcement by the stewards that Speculative Bid was a non runner, a later announcement was subsequently made that for betting purposes and under tattersalls rules Speculative Bid should be deemed a runner because the weighed-in notice had been given. Indeed MarathonBets own rules state: "On all Horse Racing markets the weigh-in will define the official result. Any subsequent changes to the result after the weigh-in will not count for settlement purposes."

Therefore I argue according to the rules of both tattersalls and MarathonBet there should be no rule 4 applied to these bets, indeed both the racing post :
