Found for the Casino - This player has engaged in what we would consider abnormal wagering activity. As such it's unsurprising the operator has charged withdrawal fees.
Read our Marathon Bet Review.
Dear The POGG! I am asking for your help in resolving the dispute with Marathonbet casino.
After checking the information I provided regarding my gaming behavior, on October 11, I received a message from the casino that access to my account was restored, and I was also informed about the casino's intention to withhold a payment processing fee.
The next day, I turned to the casino for clarification regarding the intention to withhold commission. After all, there were no violations by my side, the verification of my account was completed and access was restored.
Later I found that my account balance decreased by $ 382.5 without my participation. I asked the casino to clarify where my funds disappeared.
On October 27, I was informed that my account was suspended and my personal documents were requested.
The next day, I sent a foreign passport to the casino as an identity document and a bank statement as a document confirming the address.
On November 04, in response to your request, I sent a photo with a passport in my hands and with a number written on a piece of paper.
On November 06, I sent screenshots of my Neteller e-wallet to the casino.
Within a month, in response to my letters, the casino informed me that the verification was still ongoing.
On December 20, I received a message from the casino that the verification of my account was successfully completed. I put available funds on withdrawals and received them to my payment wallet.
However, the casino still holds $ 382.5 in my funds. The casino explains its actions by the application of clause 4.3.4. Of the rules and accuses me of inconsistency between the amount of placed bets and the amounts of deposits / withdrawals made from the gaming account.
The size of my bets is fully consistent with the size of the deposit. Otherwise, I would not be able to pass the verification successfully.
Please help me return my $ 382.5. Thank you in advance.
Good day! I had a long correspondence with the casino. Please indicate to which e-mail address I can send you the relevant correspondence for consideration. Thank you in advance.
Hi ya261,
Copy and paste the correspondence onto this page.
Thanks,
ThePOGG
On October 11, I received a letter from the casino with the following content:
“Thank you for choosing Marathonbet.
Thank you for the explanation you have kindly provided.
We have made the decision to deduct payment processing fees issued by payment systems for deposits and withdrawals from the balance of your account in accordance with Paragraph 4.3.4 of the Marathonbet Terms and Conditions.
Access to your Marathonbet account has now been reinstated, however, please note this is the final warning and future similar account conduct might lead to closure.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.”
Correspondence with the casino has been sent to the email address you specified.
Hi ya261,
There are evidently communications missing from the documents you sent over. In the above quote the operator references "the explanation you have kindly provided". This is not included in the communications you have sent. The communications also make reference to a "letter" that you have received. We also need to see that.
Thanks,
ThePOGG
Good day! The previous correspondence between me and the casino has been sent to your email.
Hi ya261,
MarathonBet specifically state in their communications to you:
"please explain the reasons for the repeated discrepency between the amounts of bets and deposits/withdrawals despite our previous warning"
I have two questions:
i) Can you please provide the communication from MarathonBet with the "previous warning"?
ii) Is it fair to assume that you have been depositing, engaging in very low levels of wagering, then withdrawing?
Thanks,
ThePOGG
Good day! In response to your request, I provide the following information:
1. message from Marathonbet casino:
"Dear [EDIT]!
Thank you for your interest in Marathonbet.
We noticed that the amount of bets placed from your gaming account differs significantly from the amounts you deposit/withdraw. Please be aware that this could potentially be a violation of our Rules.
Unfortunately, your gaming account has also been temporarily blocked. To unblock the account, we ask you to justify the discrepancies between the amounts of bets and the amounts of deposited / withdrawn funds.
As soon as we are satisfied that you are using this game account exclusively for gaming, we will check your account and consider the possibility of restoring full access.
Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.
Please send your answer to [email protected] "
2. Your assumptions are wrong. My deposits are fully consistent with the withdrawn funds. I am ready to provide confirmation of deposits and withdrawals.
Hi ya261,
What did you deposit?
How much did you wager?
Thanks,
ThePOGG
Good afternoon! Information about the amount of deposits and the amount of bets made has been sent to your email inbox.
In particular, on September 30, I made a deposit of $ 2800, bets were made on the same amount. On October 05, I made a deposit of $2850, the amount of bets was $2850.
Hi ya261,
Sadly there is nothing we can do to assist you in this instance. Making a large deposit and wagering it through only once (and doing so on a game with a minimal house edge) for obvious reasons raises concerns about money laundering. Marathon Bet clearly have concerns as you have not shown any genuine intent to engage in wagering and withdrawal fees will have been imposed for the same reason. Given the weak nature of the license held by this operator, there is no possibility of us changing the operator's position, even where we did not share the operator's concerns.
Sorry we cannot be of further assistance.
