Ocean Bet - Accepted UK player with no license

Found for the Player - The player is absolutely correct, Ocean Bet should not be accepting players from the UK. This has been reported to the UKGC.

Read our Ocean Bets Casino Review.

Player's Complaint

i have sent this email to the Curacao gaming and Game Tech group as Ocean bets have not acknowledge any emails from me, and there sister casino Enzo still email deposit offers. Both accounts still remain open as well.

i am sending this direct as you are the owners of the site and Ocean Bets and they keep ignoring emails.

This was the last email i have sent to the site also sent to Gambling Commision today, i have had no acknowledgement of any email i have logged on their site and have done this more than several times, all being ignored, i am getting no where with them not even an acknowledgement i exist, the email sent on site do state successfully submitted, i have even email from sister site Enzo casino offering bonus offers. i have listed my last email to them below and will copy response from Gambling commission again i will also copy this to their website as well my id is ([EDIT]) Oceanbets Casino operates under Master License No. 1668/JAZ, granted by the Government of Curaçao.

This is now the 4th email i have sent and again it will probably be ignored,

1st sent 23/10 asking for account to be closed for self exclusion.

2nd email 2 sent this time 5/12/2016 asked for account to be self excluded yet again, email again states submitted successfully and no response.

3rd email sent 6/12/2016 again sent twice still no busresponse stating that i have a gambling problem asking for the account to be closed but still open and states submitted successfully still no response.

I have deposited 260.00 euros since these emails have been sent and after asking pleading for the account to be closed which if it was done when i asked this would never have happened. so i expect any deposits after requesting the account to be closed to be returned.

I have also noticed there is no license for Game Tech or Ocean Bet within the UK so cannot understand why you are accepting UK players, and keep accepting deposits, if a casino site is not permitted under the UK jurisdiction they remove the UK from the address, so cannot understand why yours is there.

From 1 November 2014, if you are providing facilities for remote gambling, or advertising to consumers in Britain, you will need a licence from the Gambling Commission, and i have just noticed you only have a license from Curaçao.

I will give you the 2 hours to respond to my complaint, if i do not here from you within this time scale i will be reporting your lack of actions to the UK Gambling Commission as well as Curacao e Gaming as you operate under there license as before will send this 3 times to see if any of them are acknowledged.

Hi sss123t - welcome to!

Unfortunately there's not going to be anything we can do to help you in this instance.

You are correct that OceanBets do not hold a UKGC license and cannot legally accept UK players. You've clearly already informed the UKGC of this and they are the party that are responsible for policing that aspect of your case.

Ocean Bet are licensed in Curacao. As far as I'm aware there are not responsible gambling policies enforced by this jurisdiction. As such, while we would take a very negative view of this operators actions, there's no basis within the rule structure that they operator for us to challenge them.

Further more this is a group that is routinely non-responsive to complaints, where they act they won't discuss complaints directly and whom are already on our Blacklist. In short, they won't change their decision for us.

I'm sorry we can't be of more help in this instance.
