Player's Complaint

I signed up to Gamstop in November due to an ongoing gambling problem. However I have still be able to deposit at Party poker since. I've recently complained to them about this and have been told that because I setup my account with them with the name Dan but signed up to Gamstop with the name Danniel that the issue is my fault entirely. Please be aware that address details surname and mobile number we're all identical on both. I'm confused by this, do they really only base the check on a first name and not bother with all of the additional details which matched?

Seeing the success of others with a habit I contacted them to see why this was possible and see if my deposits can be refunded and the account perminately blocked but they have told me nothing can be done because I used Dan on their site and Danniel on Gamstop, again please be aware all other details on both sites are the same.

Hi user010110,

Unfortunately there is nothing we can do to help you in this instance. The GamStop terms of use state the following:

"It is in your interest to provide us with accurate details consistent with those which you have used to set up accounts with online gambling operators. GAMSTOP may not be able to spot inaccuracies or other differences in account details, and we may not be able to prevent you accessing accounts you have created using, for example, email addresses that you have not provided to us as part of the registration process."

GamStop is an automated system and cannot tell the difference between Dan and Daniel.

All we could suggest at this juncture is seeking a second opinion directly from the UKGC.

Sorry we cannot be of further help.
