Playluck - Casino refuses to pay winnings

Ruling

Found for the Casino - While we certainly sympathise with the player and feel this term could be dramatically improved, it is clear enough to be considered legal.

Read our PlayLuck Casino Review.

Player's Complaint

Casino withheld winnings because I played with a 4€ bet and they claim that it is not allowed per rules, however in their finnish site rules are worded very cleverly to trap people to play with 4€ bet. At no part of playing with bonus does the casino inform the player that 4€ exceeds maximum bet, every other casino I have played does this so I was totally sure that 4€ was ok especially when the wager kept filling up too. How is this ok and fair play when they use clever wording to misinform players, dont warn when playing with wrong bet and fill the wager still?

Hi toinen2 - welcome to ThePOGG.com!

As we are the ADR for the Apsire Global license under the Malta Gaming Authority license there is certain information we have to provide you now.

You can find all the relevant information about this service here – http://thepogg.com/terms-of-use/ and the terms of use for our complaint service here - https://thepogg.com/terms-of-use-for-dispute-resolution-service/

To summarise.

– Use of this service does not preclude your seeking redress through court proceedings .

– This service is free to use for both the complainant and operator.

– At any point during the procedure the submitting party retains the right to withdraw their complaint. This does not preclude our right to continue the discussion with the involved operator of general issues related to the complaint (i.e. insufficiently clear terms and conditions).

– You are not obliged to obtain independent or legal advice or representation, though you may choose to do so.

If you have any questions about the above, let me know.

You need to be clearer regarding specifically what you feel about the "clever wording" has made the term difficult to understand?

Thanks,

ThePOGG

It is very misleading and dishonest as I said, they have no valid reason to put "4€ or equal" in the terms other than to mislead customers and void all winnings. Max bet is 3,99€ but it is conveniently left out. It is purely for profit and very predatory. I am amazed they are able to still operate in Finland.

Hi Toinen2,

The term is clearly worded if you take the time to read it. While we would agree that it would be more player friendly to simply have a max bet of €4, there's nothing illegal, deceptive of ambiguous about how this term is worded. As such there is no grounds for us to challenge non-payment if you have breached this rule.

Sorry we cannot be of further help.
