Top Top Casino – Confiscation of Winnings

Ruling

Declined - As this complaint involves a self-exclusion issue against a UKGC licenses operator we cannot currently help with this issue.

Player's Complaint

I need some advice - I opened an account with Top Top Casino (registered with Gambling Commission as you suggested!) and did really well and won £850. They have since told me they are not paying out because I self-excluded at one of their sister casinos 888 ... are they allowed to do this? Seems very unfair as when you lose money at a self-excluded partner casino they don't pay it back! I was reading their terms and conditions and this seems like it is the case but just wanted to check. Many thanks. [EDIT]

Hi amesgeorge - welcome back!

I've had a look and I cannot locate the casino you reference. Can you provide a URL?

Unfortunately there's not going to be anything we can do to help in this instance if the casino is UKGC registered. As a UKGC Accredited Alternative Dispute Resolution service we have to work within their framework. Further to this, all ADR services have now been told to refer problem gambling complaints to the UKGC directly. That being the case we aren't allowed to engage with this type of complaint.
As such if you want your case reviewed further you’ll need to submit it to the UKGC at this email address [email protected]uk.
You should refer your complaint to the UKGC for general review as to whether license conditions have been upheld. You should be aware that the UKGC is not an ombudsman or complaints service and does not review cases on an individual bases.

If you are seeking financial redress you will have to raise your complaint as a civil matter through the court system.

Sorry we cannot be of more help.

Finally, while as a UK citizen you should not play with any operator that is not UKGC licensed, I would stress that we do not recommend playing with an operator simply because they are UKGC licensed. You need to research a group before selecting someone to play with, though generally starting with a UKGC licensed operator is going to be beneficial.
