Player's Complaint

I self excluded myself from totesport, I then recieved an email from betfred saying my account was closed. When querying why betfred sent me this email regarding a totesport account I was told they are owned by the same company. I then questioned why I was allowed to deposit so much money when my betfred account had a 5 pound deposit limit when the accounts are linked. I was told the details didnt match, when I pointed out they were identical I was told thst self exclusions are linked on the accounts but not deposit limits. The first few emsils were from betfred however when I started questioning this the replys come from totesport. From my understanding deposit limits are in place to help responsible gambling and im confused how accounts are linked for self exclusion but not deposit limits. I was told that i need to go to gambling commission,however when got in touch with them they said it needs to go through a ADR. Can you advise please?

Thanks. As of today after requesting information on the accounts emails are now being ignored from customer services which is frustrating to say at the least.

I've had feedback from the UKGC and unfortunately it does not support your claim.

It is the opinion of the Gambling Commission that while self-exclusions are expected to be carried over to all properties on a license, other responsible gambling polices like Deposit of Loss Limits are not currently expected to be applied at any property other than the property they are requested at.

The above being the case I'm sorry to say that you don't have a claim here.
