I opened an account with unibet and made my first deposit on the 4/2 of £10, from the 4/2 - 10/2 i made 6 deposits ranging from £10 - £150.
On the 11/2 I was triggered and also had access to a lot of money (borrowed money), and made a deposit of £500, including this deposit, i made 27 deposits within 24 hours totalling £27,920.
I am aware i have a responsibility for my actions and i should have taken steps to prevent this happening, however since opening my account with unibet they have not sent any emails or given any information in regards to tools to help preventing gambling harm.
I also feel they have failed me with their social responsibilty, the stakes started off from £2 spins upto £75-£100 a spin, displaying erratic behaviour and i was online for over 12 hours straight without a break and i had no customer interaction whatsoever, apart from when i contacted customer service about a withdrawal and then they did not talk about responsible gambling.
I am a 20 year old student and feel with my age, i would be in the vulnerable category?
With the amount of deposits and the value of the deposits stArting at £500 ,
Going to £800 then £1000 then £1500 and then £2000, i feel unibet should have done something or have something in place to stop deposits whilst they interact with their customer.
I have not requested all of my deposits back, as it was my choice to initially deposit, however i feel if unibet acted in a socially responsible way, the amount i deposited would not have been so much. Even if they just sent an email or interaction to break the cycle i was in whilst gambling.
