Unibet – is not verifying my account

Player's Complaint

Hi, I am going through a nightmare verification process with Unibet. I signed up to their casino website, deposited 100 GBP and got bonus of 200. I turned it into 2550 after playing both slots and blackjack. I was asked to send my ID and bank statement. I sent it straight away. I was then asked to send a driving licence or passport which I've sent. Then they came back saying they needed a second proof of address. I sent them my Lloyds one but this was not the end. Now they are asking for selfie with my bank statement and my ID. Is it possible to check with them on my account. This is very dodgy verification. I hold accounts in at least 4 other bookies such as Paddy, Ladbrokes, Bet365 and have never experienced such a horrific verification

Unfortunately there isn't anything we can do to help you in this situation. While I understand your frustration, this verification requirements (selfies) is fairly common and a legitimate strategy where the operator has concerns that the person named on the account is not the person actually operating the account. Ultimately this is a minor inconvenience to the player and we would not ask an operator to set aside a legitimate anti-fraud strategy.

Hello again, I certified documents as Unibet requested and sent them over 7 days ago. Today I decided to contact them to see why is the verification taking too long. A few minutes later they came back with the below email. This is extremely unfair to close my account. They asked me to send so many documents and I also ended up paying to certify my documents. They have confiscated my winnings and returned my deposit of 100. Can you please check, I will be very grateful

Hi Kosinny8,

Sadly, Unibet have informed us that they will no longer assist players via ThePOGG.com's dispute mediation service. As such we cannot assist you with this issue.

All I can suggest you do at this juncture is take your complaint to Unibet's ADR, eCOGRA.
