The Curse of the Werewolf Megaways slot game can be found at casinos offering Pragmatic Play software. Pragmatic Play are one of the newer slots game developers on the market but their products are polished and professional in feel and operation. As a standard Pragmatic Play do publish the RTP/House Edge information for their slots games within their game help file. For a provider that are not currently licensed within the UK market and therefore are under no obligation to publish these figures this is a significantly progressive move. The House Edge for The Dog House Megaways is 3.45%.
The Curse of the Werewolf Megaways is a 6 reel game and each reel can vary in height, from 2 symbols per reel to 6 symbols per reel. The slot does not use paylines, instead you form winning combinations of 3 or more symbols across adjacent reels. There is no set number of winways, or in this case Megaways per spin but the maximum number available is 4,6656.
Tumble feature – After every winning combination, those symbols will disappear from the reels and new symbols will drop down in their place, giving you another chance to win. If you do win again, the process will continue and will keep doing so until a new tumble fails to result in a winning combination. Symbols that are added during a tumble will always be the same size as those that disappeared.
This slot has a gothic theme. The style takes a light-hearted poke at
Wild – The Wild symbol will substitute for all paying symbols. Wild symbols will only appear on reels 2-6.
Mystery Symbol – The “Silhouette” is the mystery symbol. When Mystery symbols land on the reels they will all spin around to reveal identical symbols.
Bonus – If you land 3 or more Bonus symbols on the reels you will trigger the Free Spins feature.
Super Spin – This is a random feature. If it triggers it will spin and leave behind reels with fully stacked symbols.
Guaranteed Win – This is a random feature. If it triggers it will move the symbols in such a way as to ensure you finish with a win.
Free Spins – If you land 3, 4, 5 or 6 Free Spins then you will be awarded 8, 10, 12 or 15 Free Spins, respectively. During the Free Spins the “Attacking Werewolf” symbol can land and when it does it will take away between 1-5 lives from a randomly chosen character symbol. Each symbol character symbol has 5 lives and once all have been removed that character symbol will turn into a Werewolf symbol, which happens to be the most valuable symbol in this slot. You can retrigger Free Spins when you land Bonus symbols during them. 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 Bonus symbols will award 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 additional Free Spins, respectively.
Buy Now – At any point you can choose to pay to the play the Free Spins feature. Doing so will cost you 100x the bet.
The Curse of the Werewolf Megaways slot is a stunning looking slot, something that I become used to seeing from Pragmatic Play. The developers have teamed up with Big Time Gaming, yet again, to bring us a slot with the Megaways mechanic, something that ensures fun on every spin. You get Free Spins and Wilds, plus a few random features. Your Free Spins come with an interesting inside game too. I would have liked to see a little more in terms of ingenuity here, but with a low house edge this is still a slot that ticks many of our boxes.
