WagerWorks is a subsidiary of International Game Technologies (IGT) one of the leading manufacturers of gaming machines for the offline casino market since 1979 when it developed and successfully marketed the very first Video Poker machines. It is not possible to find the RTP information for ICT slots in either the paytable or on their website, which means we need to wait for slots to become vaialble to play in casinos before we know. That is now the case with the Family Guy slot, which we know has a house edge of 5.8%.
The Family Guy slot is a 5-reel slot with each reel sitting at 4 symbols in height. The slot uses 50 different paylines, each one playing from left to right.
Wild – The “Family Guy” symbol is Wild, substituting for all symbols other than the “World Bonus” symbol. During the Lois’s Free Spins feature the Wild symbol will not substitute for character symbols.
World Bonus – If you can land 3 “World Bonus” symbols which are available on reels 2,3 and 4 then you will spin the globe, which will pick 1 out of 3 possible Bonus rounds, all of which will be described in our Bonus Features section.
Griffin Family Features – The slot comes with 4 features that are triggered at random, one for each member of the Griffin Family:
Peter’s Random Feature – If this random feature is triggered then Peter will appear on the reels and fart out an instant cash prize, somewhere between 4 and 100 times the bet.
Stewie – If this random feature is triggered then Stewie will launch up to 3 additional Wild symbols onto the reels.
Lois – If this random feature is triggered then Lois will turn between 1 and 3 character symbols into scatter symbols, allowing them to form wins independent of paylines.
Brian – If only Bonus symbol appears then there is a chance that Brian will add between 1 and 2 additional Bonus symbols to the reels.
World Bonus Features – There are 3 World Bonus features, each one described below:
Drunken Clam Bonus – If you trigger this Bonus then you need to choose between Peter, Cleveland, Quagmire or Joe. Then a drinking game will happen between them all. You need to choose beer symbols that will come with cash prizes. Each time an opponent passes out you will gain a multiplier to the cash you have already won. Once your character or all the other characters have passed out the feature will end.
Chicken Fight Bonus – In this one you need to choose who you want to win the fight. You then click on cash bags to reveal instant wins. If your character wins the fight, the amount in the bags will be higher than if they lose it.
Lois’ Hot Free Spins Bonus – You get 10 Free Spins that take place on a different set of reels. New Lois symbols will be added, which pay out more than standard Lois symbols. If Quagmire appears on the 5th reel you will be given an additional 5 Free Spins. If a “Naked Peter” symbol appears on the 5th reel then you will collect it and once you have collected 3, 1 of the Lois symbols will turn Wild, with the potential for all 4 to turn Wild.
The Family Guy slot was always going to look like the TV show does, so in theory our score is dependent on the quality of the features. And they do not disappoint. You get 4 random features, 1 for each of the Griffin family. Add to that the 3 Bonus rounds and you have a slot that is offering lots of fun and variety. The slot has the sense of humour you would expect too, with some funny moments from the show making their way onto the reels. The house edge is a lot higher than we would have hoped for, something that prevents s perfect score.
