The Suicide Squad slot can be found at Playtech casinos. The company are well-established in the online market and have a large back-catalogue of branded slots. Playtech do not publish the house edge of their games, however several established Playtech casinos have started releasing this information meaning it is possible to identify that the house edge of Suicide Squad is 4.87% and should be valid at all Playtech casinos.
The Suicide Squad slot is a 5-reel slot with each reel sitting at 4 symbols in height. The slot uses 50 different paylines, each one playing from left to right.
Suicide Squad Wilds – The Suicide Squad Wilds are the “Dog Tags”, which will substitute for all of the “Suicide Hero” symbols.
Enchantress Wild – The Enchantress Wilds are the “Crescent Moons”, which will substitute for all symbols other than “The Enchantress”.
Stacked Hero Symbols – If you can land a fully stacked Hero symbol onto the reels the you will be adding Suicide Squad Wilds to the reels. Different heroes add different number of Wilds to the reels. Harley Quinn and Dead Shot will both add 4. The Joker will add 3 and El Diablo and Katana will both add 2 Wilds to the reels. Essentially the spaces that make up the stack on the reels will have 2, 3 or 4 Wilds added on top of the heroes. Then after each subsequent spin 1 Wild will be removed, with the others remining where they are until they too are removed.
Enchantress Mode – If you can land a fully stacked Enchantress symbol on the reels you will trigger Enchantress mode. When this happens, up to 4 Enchantress Wild symbols will be added to her reel and all Suicide Squad Wilds that are on the reels at the time will come with a 2x multiplier. 1 Enchantress Wild symbol is removed after each subsequent spin.
Jackpot – The Jackpot will trigger at random and if it does so you will be taken to a screen filled with 20 blank symbols. There are 4 different coloured tiles for you to reveal and once you have filled one of the jackpots with the required number of matching symbols you will be awarded that Jackpot.
For a DC slot, I have to admit that I was expecting more. The slot could look much better and it could come with more engaging features. The symbols are hazy and the background lacks the detail that I was hoping for. You get Wilds and they come with a modifier and you get special Wilds that also come with a modifier. You also get the standard DC progressive jackpot. However, you don’t get any Free Spins and there is no bonus feature (other than the Jackpot), which feels like a missed opportunity. The house edge is higher than I would like it to be but is essentially fairly standard for Playtech. Essentially, this is a bit disappointing, which makes it an accurate reflection of the film.
