Wilderland Slot Review

Released March 2020

The Wilderland slot game can be found at Net Entertainment casinos. Net Entertainment are one of the most established software providers on the market, being founded in 1996. Net Entertainment are a Swedish company but gained enough success to have offices all over the world. Net Entertainment do make the house edge information of their slots games available and this can be found in the help files of the game (usually accessed by pressing the ‘?’ button at the bottom left of the game window). As such, we can state that the House Edge for Wilderland is 3.84%.

Wilderland is a 5-reel slot, with each reel sitting at 3 symbols high. The slot plays out over 30 traditional paylines, playing from left to right.

Theme

The slot has a Celtic look and feel to it. The Symbols are all Celtic in design and the characters symbols are either fairies or elves. The whole thing is set inside an enchanted forest where myth and magic come to life.

Special Symbols

Wild – Wild symbols will substitute for all symbols other than Scatters. There are 4 different Walking Wilds in the game, which you can trigger then you land 2 standard Wild symbols in the Activation Zone (the Activation Zone is the middle row, which is highlighted by bright lines).

Free Spins – The “S” symbol is the Free Spins symbol. You need 3 or more of them to trigger the Free Spins.

Bonus Features

Walking Wilds – If you manage to land 2 Wild symbols in the Activation Zone then you will trigger 1 of 4 different Walking Wilds features, with each one moving one space to the left with each subsequent spin, before leaving the reels once they move beyond reel 1. You get standard Walking Wilds, you get x2 multiplier Walking Wilds, you get Walking Scatter Wilds, that act as both a Scatter and a Wild symbol and you get expanding Walking Wilds, which will fill up the entire reel.

Magic Wild Feature – There is a chance that once your last Walking Wild has made it off the reels and when there are no Wilds left on the reels at all that a Walking Wild will be reintroduced onto reel 5. In the Free Spins the Magic Wild feature can be activated by any number of Walking Wilds leaving reel 1.

Free Spins – 3 or more Scatters or Wild Scatters will trigger the Free Spins. There is no set number of Free Spins but the least you can get is 6. The feature ends when you have no more walking Wilds on the reels. During the feature the Activation Zone covers every row, increasing your chance of landing Walking Wilds. You begin with 1 Walking Wild on the reels, with an additional Walking Wild for every additional triggering Scatter symbol, above the required 3.

Conclusion

Wilderland is a stunning looking slot with a few features that single is out from the majority of the competition. You get 4 different Walking Wilds features, Free Spins and 1 random feature. The Free Spins come with a few modifiers to make them that little bit special. The house edge is OK, offering decent value for money.

Sounds good

The North American country of Canada shares a border with The United States of America and has coasts on the Atlantic, Arctic and Pacific oceans. The population of Canada is currently in the region of 37.8 million people. With regard to the gambling sector, Canada has historically existed in a grey area but in recent years there has been a move towards officially recognizing that casino gaming, slots play, horse racing, lottery play, video lottery play, charitable gaming and interactive gaming are permitted in the country’s borders. There is no land-based licensor, but online gambling appears to be perfectly legal for Canadian citizens who wish to play.
