Chumba Casino Casino REVIEW
Players from United States are welcome at Chumba Casino casino.
Review last updated - January 2022.
Chumba Casino are operated by VGW Holdings Limited. Their site features a colour theme of: blue, yellow and white and their logo is their name with bubble type letters for 'chumba' and 'casino' inside circles made to look like casino chips.
Chumba Casino hold a reasonable gambling license (MGA).
The VGW Holding Limited group has been non-responsive to player complaints submitted to this service.
This group are advertising themselves as a legal gambling outlet for the USA. They seem to be looking to use a technicality in US law relating to sweepstakes, by converting deposits in to 'Sweep Coins' allowing you to gamble in a 'non-currency' format, then exchanging your Sweep Coins for cash when you withdraw. Presumably the concept is that as you are playing with money you are not technically gambling. We are extremely sceptical about this system holding up to legal scrutiny. Logically if it was that simple to bypass US anti-gambling laws hundreds of groups would have done this years ago.
Given the lack of any legitimate US based gambling license we consider this group to be operating in a high risk fashion and would not recommend them to players.

Chumba hold the following gambling licenses :
- Malta Gaming Authority - In our experience the MGA is the best regulatory authority in terms of the management of player complaints. Their complaints team is open and cooperative in the discussion of player issues and we've managed to resolve a number of credible player issues working with the MGA. You can find further information regarding this regulator's complaint policies. You can find further information regarding this regulator's complaint policies here.

We have huge reservations about the legitimacy of the business model being employed by the VGW group. Perhaps we're the ones that are totally off base, and by switching out the $ sign for made-up points then switching it back when your players want to withdraw, this entirely satisfy the US government's prohibition on online gambling and side step the need to hold any gambling license for those states that do regulate online gambling. But even if this is a legitimate loophole in the legislation, once the relevant authorities become aware of the model being employed here it would seem highly unlikely that the will not shift the rules to bring it in line with all other forms of gambling. This isn't a business model that we are in any way comfortable with. Add to this that this group of operators is non-cooperative in the management of player complaints and these operators make a poor choice for players.
