The Narcos slots game can be found at Net Entertainment casinos. Net Entertainment are one of the most established software providers on the market, being founded in 1996. Net Entertainment are a Swedish company but gained enough success to have offices all over the world. Net Entertainment do make the house edge information of their slots games available and this can be found in the help files of the game (usually accessed by pressing the ‘?’ button at the bottom left of the game window). As such, we can state that the House Edge for Narcos is 3.77%.
Narcos uses 5 reels that are 3 symbols high. Instead of paylines you form wining combinations of 3 matching symbols or more across adjacent reels, playing from left to right.
Wild – The Wild symbol is the “D.E.A Badge” which will substitute for all symbols other than Free Spins and Locked Up symbols. Wilds are also “Walking Wilds”, which means that when they land on the reels they will stay on them but move one space to the left with each spin before they finally fall off the edge. This is available in the both the base game and the Free Spins.
Valuable Symbol – Along with the Wild symbol the two most valuable symbols in the game are the “Special Agent” symbols. 3 as part of a winning payline will earn you 20 times the bet, 4 will earn you 80 times the bet and 5 will earn you 300 times the bet.
Locked Up – The “Locked Up” symbol is “Pablo Escobar”. The feature is triggered when you land 3 or more “Locked Up” symbols on the on the same row in the main game. When this happens the symbols are moved together to form a win and you will be assigned a multiplier of 1-10 times the bet, which is decided at random. You will then receive a number of additional spins where only further “Locked Up” or “Golden Locked Up” symbols are available. The more you land the bigger the win.
Golden Locked Up – The “Golden Locked Up” symbol is the “Golden Briefcase” which is only available once you have triggered the “Locked Up” feature. The symbol will do one of three things decided at random but only if it adds to an existing cluster:
Multiplier – If this is applied it will increase the value of the symbols in the cluster by either x2 or by x3.
Upgrade Symbols – If this is applied multiple upgrade values in increments of 1 times the bet can be assigned to symbols that are part of the cluster. This upgrade can happen between 7-15 times for each time the feature is activated.
Big Starting Value – If this is applied an additional value is added to the original value of the “Golden Lock Up” symbol.
Free Spins – The Free Spins symbol is the “Car”. Free Spin symbols only appear on reels 1, 3 and 5 and you need one on each of those reels to trigger 10 Free Spins.
Free Spins – If you trigger the Free Spins feature by landing 3 or more of the “Car” symbols you will be given 10 Free Spins. During the feature there is the random chance on every spin that high value symbols will turn into Wild symbols. At the end of the Free Spins if there are Walking Wilds left on the reels you will be given the required number of spins before they fall off the left-hand-side of the grid.
Drive-By – This is a random feature and is available during the base game. If it triggers high paying symbols will be turned into Wilds.
For fans of the TV show this is a brilliant slots game. Net Entertainment have done a great job of tying in the game’s bonus features with the TV shows key themes. Most of your main characters are there, with enough allusions to Escobar’s trade to hint at the violence he became famous for. The game look fantastic, has excellent bonus features is offering good value for money. Another outstanding offering from the developers at Net Entertainment.
