Overview
WagerWorks is a subsidiary of International Game Technologies (IGT) one of the leading manufacturers of gaming machines for the offline casino market since 1979 when it developed and successfully marketed the very first Video Poker machines.
As such WagerWorks actually provides and hosts many of the most famous and popular games that other software providers use. You’ll find many games on offer in WagerWorks casinos that are also offered by
Microgaming,
Chartwell and other well known casino software brands.
Gameplay is fast and the graphics are of exceptionally high quality, especially for an instant play only software. As far as non-download casino software go, we here at The Players’ Online Gambling Guide considers WagerWorks to be of the highest quality. There are however some issues to with games disconnecting mid-round – not a concern in a financial sense as the game will be restarted at the same point when you reconnect, but frustrating all the same.
WagerWorks offer a very healthy selection of games unique to their software, including Cluedo and Monopoly slots games alongside some fantastic table game variations like Power Blackjack, Multihand Three Card Poker and our personal favourite here at The Players’ Online Gambling Guide, Three Card 2nd Chance which is a fantastic variation of Three Card Poker developed by Michael Shackelford (the Wizard of Odds) where you can change your cards if you don’t like what you’re dealt and if either you or the dealer is dealt a straight or higher you can receive a bonus payout!
Unusually there are several popular and well known games that WagerWorks don’t offer such as Pai Gow Poker and Casino War, however we’re confident that you’ll agree that the host of unique games more than makes up for this.
There is no auto-hold feature on any of their Video Poker games.
Unlike many of the other large software providers, WagerWorks – at least for the time being – seems to be only working with highly reputable outfits. As such WagerWorks casinos tend to have a very low level of player dispute making them somewhat unique within the industry and an excellent choice for any player.
Due to this focus on reputation and customer security, you will find that you will only be allowed to play in a WagerWorks casino if online gambling is legal in your jurisdiction (sorry USA customers). For those in such a geographical location, the free play version of the games is all that’s available to you.
