Declined - We do not pursue refund of losses based on lack of license. If your government cannot enforce its restrictions there's no chance we can.

Ladies and Gentlemen
I have a big problem with the casino www.1bet.com
This casino has a Curacao license. 1Bet.com has no license in Germany.
I was registered there with the player name [EDIT] and my contact email was this email [EDIT]
I gambled over €60,000 at this casino between November 11th, 2021 and March 1st, 2023. My gambling addiction was never responded to. There was no response to emails asking me to be blocked. I've been registered with the German blocking system Oasis since 2022, but I was still able to play. I was able to wager over €3000 in one day with no reaction from the casino. What I only found out now is that 1BET.com is still illegal in Germany because it doesn't have a German license.
In Germany you can now successfully sue illegal casinos without a license. However, a lawsuit from Germany is probably difficult because the casinos often do not answer and it costs a lot of money. I have requested and received a GDPR list from the casino 1Bet.com. Further emails with my problem were no longer answered. I hope you can help me with my problem of getting my money back without a lawyer.
Many thanks for your help

Hi zladdy - welcome to ThePOGG.com!
Sadly there's nothing we can do to assist you with this issue.
Firstly, as explained in our Complaints FAQs, we do not pursue refunds of losses based on lack of license. If your own government cannot prevent unlicensed operators from accepting their citizens, there is no possibility of the operator offering a refund simply on the basis of us asking them to.
Secondly, you have chosen to play with a weakly licensed/unlicensed property. These operators function without appropriate licensing specifically so they do not have to adhere to the standards set out by regulatory authorities surrounding the protection of vulnerable players. As such, the chances of them deciding to take appropriate action in a case like this simply because we asked them to is vanishingly small.
You may find our free Responsible Gambling app BetBlocker useful. It allows users to restrict their internet capable devices from accessing over 18k gambling operator websites for between 24 hours and 5 years.
You can also find information on the various support agencies available to support you in your country in our Responsible Gambling Directory.
Sorry we cannot be of further help.
