Casino Blu - Blackjack

Ruling

Found for the Player - Casino Blu have enforced terms that we have reason to believe breach EU consumer law. We strongly advise players to avoid this group.

Player's Complaint

Hello,

I played alt the Casino Blu Last week. I deposited 100€ and played Black Jack with bets To 25 €. Sometimes I used the Option "Double" After the First cards. The Casino Blu Support told me that this was illegal. In my opinion i did not offend against there rules because the Double button Is not my First bet.

The Casino Blu support refused to give me a Statement of the Black Jack Option.

Could you help me?

Thanks.

Greetz,

Hi gerritschoeps - welcome to ThePOGG.com!

Unfortunately it's highly unlikely that we can do anything to help you here.

The reality of your situation is that Casino Blu are part of one of the most widely rogued groups of operators in the industry. They are Blacklisted here and highly unlikely to respond to a complaint.

Further to this though, we have been advised that their maximum bet terms which are applied outside of bonus play are non-legal under EU law. This has been pointed out to the group ownership by multiple parties including the MGA and the group continue to enforce them. That they've decided to say a double down bet in blackjack violates this term is far from surprising but they're no more likely to back down on this than they have been on similar cases.

All we can suggest you do would be contact their regulator Curacao eGaming, but you should be aware that historically this body has been of very little help to players.

Sorry we can't be of more help,

Hi gerritschoeps,

I've had some basic feedback on your case. This issue relates to a term that we've reason to believe is non-valid under EU consumer law. However the operator have shifted their operation outside of the EU and are insistent that the term is perfectly valid.

We don't agree with this position at all, but I'm afraid experience has shown that this group will not change their position on this issue.

As such there's nothing further we can do to help you. Sorry!
