Ignition Casino - RNG not certified in 2018

Ruling

Found for the Casino - While an expired RNG certificate isn't great, it does not in itself demonstrate that the games have operated unfairly.

Read our Ignition Casino Review.

Player's Complaint

I playing slots at ignition Casino for over 7-months now and since the start of 2018, I noticed that the slots were playing differently. It seemed that the RTP was much lower as my losses have been extraordinary so far this year. I expect losses but not over $5000 of the $8500 I ha e deposited.

I have contacted Ignition onchat and is phone asking what was going on but they assured me that their RNG is certified by iTechLabs and I downloaded the certificate provided via link on their website. I thought I was going crazy until today, I looked on the website and the link to iTechlab certificate was gone but Ignition still stated that they were:

“How are casino game odds determined at Ignition Casino?

We value and uphold fairness at Ignition Casino, which is why our website is supported by an impartial third party (iTech Labs) to maintain the reliability and integrity of our games. In fact, a pseudo Random Number Generator (pRNG) selects the winners randomly.”

I contacted iTechLabs right away and was informed that they no longer certified Ignition’s slots RNG and Tina there certificate was take. Down on feb 26, 2018 as required by iTechLabs.

I am a loyal player at Ignition and feel I ha e been mislead over and over again that the RNG was certified. I asked about a zillion times since 2018 started. I informed igntion tod@y about the website lie they have up and they said the dispute department would be calling me to compensating some of my losses.

I ha e gotten no phone call and the website has not been changed to remove the false state, ent regarding iTechLabs. I realize that I did pay. It was under completely false pretenses and think I am owed at least $1000-$2000 back for, this reason. I was lied to countless times the last theee months and would never have deposited so much if igntion has been honest.

Can you please, please, please help my The Pogg??

Thank you in advance.

I have screeshots of chats and here is link to webpage with the false claim: ignitioncasino.eu/help/how-are-casino-odds-determined

Hi luck1717 - welcome to ThePOGG.com!

Unfortunately it is unlikely we can do anything to help you in this case.

The first thing to say is that you are playing slots games. Slots are what are known as 'high variance' mathematically. This means that you will have occasional big wins and can experience long periods of losses in between.

With slots games it takes multiple millions of spins to determine whether or not a game is performing fairly. It is highly unlikely that you have generated a sufficient sample size to draw any valid conclusions about the function of the games.

Secondly, while RNG certificates are commonplace within the industry they do not actually provide any information on whether a game functions fairly or not. They tell us - if the certifying company is trustworthy and knows what they are doing - that the Random Number Generator functions as it should. However, it's still perfectly possible for a game to be programmed to use the results that a fair RNG produces to produce unfair results.

Ignition casino are an unlicensed brand that accept players from the US illegally. All that this situation tells us is that they are no longer working with iTechLabs, which in the grand scheme of things is a small factor compared with the rest of their business model.

Finally, the operator do not provide RTP figures for their games. These could have been entirely consistent for the whole time you played or they could have varied as often as the operator liked. As the operator was not advertising a specific return setting for any individual game they cannot be said to have misled you as they simply did not give you any information.

While we can pass this complaint on to the operator and perhaps nudge them to speak to you, we can't establish that anything untoward has gone on here and certainly could not put figures on compensation that would be due, if any.

Thanks,

ThePOGG
