The Around the World slots game can be found at Microgaming casinos. Microgaming as a standard do not publish the slots house edge information of their games. However they lease their slots games out to casinos using other software, some of which do publish this information. So far we’ve only found one casino – Grosvenor – that has published this information for Around the World and they list the house edge as 5.16%. When playing at any other venue, this information should be used as a guideline only as the game may be configurable.
Do you have what it takes to win a race around the world?
This game is a 5 reel game, with 20 paylines and you can bet one coin on each payline.
There are two wild symbols when playing Around the World; the ‘Around the World Logo’ symbol and the ‘Top Hat Man’ symbol. The Top Hat Man symbol also doubles all wins.
There are two bonus features available when playing Around the World. The first is activated when you receive three or more of the ‘Globe’ bonus symbol in a row on an active payline starting from the left. When this happens you will be taken to a new screen showing a map of the world with a series of routes. Each route has some coins and some sunken ships. At each junction on the route you pick with direction to go. For each coin you collect the multiplier that is applied to your winnings if you make it right round the world is increased. If you end up on a sunken ship you lose all your winnings and the bonus feature ends. You can go round as many times as you like until you either decide to collect your winnings or land on a sunken ship.
The second bonus feature is activated when you receive 3 or more of the ‘Compass’ symbol anywhere on the reels. When this happens the needles on each of the Compass symbols will start to spin. Each needle that lands on North increases the multiplier your win receives.
Far from taking you places you’ve never been before, Around the World will leave with all the boring bits of travelling and little of the excitement.
