The second game in the series based on Lara Croft and the Tomb Raider games, Secrets of the Sword sees you helping Lara as you travel across the globe questing to find the lost fragments of an ancient sword.
This game is a 5 reel game, with 30 paylines and you can bet up to 10 coins on each payline.
There are three different bonus features when playing Tomb Raider 2 Secrets of the Sword. The first is activated when three or more of the ‘Talisman’ bonus symbol turn up anywhere on the reels. When this happens you will be awarded 10 complimentary spins. During your free spin, any time you hit a winning payline, after you’ve been paid the winning symbols explode allowing new symbols to drop in from the top. If the new symbols form a second winning payline the process is repeated except that each time a new payline is formed the multiplier for the next win is moved up according to the bar at the top of the reels.
The second bonus feature is called ‘Super Mode’ and is activated randomly during the game. During Super Mode you will be given 4 complimentary spins. During the complimentary spins, Lara will swing across the screen and shoot random symbols turning them into wild symbols. These wild symbols are fixed in position for the duration of the Super Mode.
To activate the third bonus feature, you need to receive one of the ‘Passport’ bonus symbol on the middle slot on each reel. Each time a passport symbol lands in the middle slot of a reel, the light at the top of the reel is activated. This light will stay on until all reels have been activated. When this happens you will be taken to a map with 5 locations. Each location hides a different piece of the ancient sword you are looking for. You choose a location and go there to search for a piece of the sword. In each location you’ll be faced with 6 objects to choose from. Each object hides either a piece of the sword, a prize or a trap. You choose an object one at a time until you either find the piece of the sword or you choose two traps in a row. If you find the fragment of the sword in a location you are allowed to choose another location. If you pick two traps in any of the location the bonus feature ends. During the bonus feature some of the objects hide a ‘Ancient Treasure’ when you discover one of these, you’ll have the choice between three boxes. Whichever one you choose you will receive one of these prizes; a cash bonus, a 2 times multiplier on your win for this round, win all the prizes for this round and advance or access to the ‘Shoot Out’ bonus feature. If you get the Shoot Out feature, you’ll be taken to a new screen with 15 golden shields, behind each of the shields is a prize between 600 and 9000 coins. You shoot one of the shields and watch as the others are eliminated one at a time to leave only your shield. If you manage to retrieve the pieces of swords from each location you will receive an extra ‘Secrets of the Sword’ bonus at the end of the feature.
