Twin Spin Megaways Slot Review

Released November 2020

The Twin Spin Megaways slot game can be found at Net Entertainment casinos. Net Entertainment are one of the most established software providers on the market, being founded in 1996. Net Entertainment are a Swedish company but gained enough success to have offices all over the world. Net Entertainment do make the house edge information of their slots games available and this can be found in the help files of the game (usually accessed by pressing the ‘?’ button at the bottom left of the game window). As such, we can state that the House Edge for Twin Spin Megaways is 3.96%.

Twin Spin Megaways is a 6 reel slot, with each reel varying in height. The number of symbols that make up a reel can change at random, with the potential for each reel to contain 7 symbols. The game does not use traditional paylines, instead it operates with a maximum of 117,649 different possible “megaways”, playing from left to right.

Theme – There is no obvious theme, other than that of the traditional fruit machine. As such, expect the sort of symbols you would find on one.

Special Symbols

Wild – The Wild symbol will substitute for all symbols other than Scatters. They only appear on reels 2-6 and during the Free Spins only they can come with a 2x or a 3x multipier.

Scatter – The Scatter symbol is the “Twin Spin Logo”. 5 or more of them anywhere on the reels will trigger the Free Spins.

Bonus Features

Avalanche – Every time you form a win the symbols involved will disappear from the reels, remaining symbols will drop down into the spaces left behind and new symbols will be added to the reels, giving you another chance to win. This process continues as long as you keep on landing wins.

Free Spins – If you trigger the Free Spins you will be given 15 spins for land 5 Scatter symbols and 1 more spin for every additional Scatter above that 5. There are always 7 symbols spaces on the reels during the Free Spins and your Wild symbols can appear with multipliers, as described above. The feature can be retriggered.

Twin Reel Feature – During every spin, 2 or more reels will be chosen to synchronise with each other, displaying the same symbols in the same places.

Conclusion

Twin Spin Megaways is not the most exciting or innovative Net Entertainment slot you will have ever seen. The most engaging element of the slot has to be the Megaways, something that isn’t even a Net Entertainment technology. You get Wilds and Free Spins and there are Wild modifiers during those Free Spins. You also get the Twin Reel feature, that is clearly the feature that Net Entertainment are hanging this slot’s hat on. The Free Spins can also be retriggered, but there’s nothing here you’ve not seen before and even the house edge could be better.

Sounds good

Situated in in the south-west Pacific Ocean is the island of New Zealand. The population of New Zealand is quickly approaching the 5 million mark. The gambling sector in New Zealand is incredibly healthy and all forms of gambling are popular with citizens of this jurisdiction. New Zealand regulates gambling and also forbids any advertising to citizens resident in its jurisdiction that may induce them to gamble with foreign operators and fines are levied against operators that are found to be doing so. It appears that players from New Zealand are permitted to gamble with providers situated beyond its own shores – there is no record of any criminality or prosecution attached to the activity but New Zealand does not offer player protection if a player has a complaint against a foreign based operator.
