Arthur's Quest 2 is a Chartwell game. Chartwell appears to have closed down with the casinos offering their games standing alone with no further updates. Chartwell do not as standard release the house edge information of their games. However some of the casinos offering Chartwell games have started releasing this information. Bet Victor lists the house edge of Arthur's Quest 2 as 5%. When playing at other venues this figure should be treated as a guideline only as the game may be configurable.
King Arthur has once again rallied the knights to quest for the grail. Guinevere’s beauty will serve to inspire while Merlin’s mighty magic will ensure their success.
This game is a 5 reel game, with 9 paylines and you can bet up to 10 coins on each payline.
The ‘Excalibur’ symbol is wild.
There are three bonus features when playing Arthur’s Quest 2. The first is activated when you get three or more of the ‘Guinevere’ bonus symbol on adjacent reels. When this happens you will be taken to a new screen displaying flies over a frog pond. The frog at the side of the screen will eat one of the flies giving you a multiplier bonus. There is no interactivity in this bonus feature – nothing the player does affect the outcome in any way - and as such it seems a little pointless.
The second bonus feature is activated when you get three or more of the ‘Arthur’ bonus symbol on adjacent reels. When this happens you will be taken to a new screen displaying a stone with lots of swords protruding from it. You are allowed to start pulling the swords from the stone, each sword awarding you a bonus multiplier until you pull a sword that says ‘Finish’ at which point the bonus round ends. If you pull the Finish sword first, you will be awarded the multipliers for all the swords.
The third bonus feature is activated when you get three or more of the ‘Merlin’ bonus symbol on adjacent reels. When this happens you will be taken to a new screen displaying Merlin’s spell book. You choose one of the four spells and are awarded a bonus multiplier.
Arthur’s Quest 2 hardly seems justified as a sequel. The original Arthur’s Quest was a fairly weak slots game and the only differences between the original and this offering is slightly improved graphics – there still nothing special – and you can now bet up to 10 coins per payline. Hardly worth the effort really.
