The Four Lucky Clover slot can be found at casinos using BGaming software. BGaming is one of the newer software developers in the online gaming market. Unlike many of the smaller casino software providers BGaming offer a relatively complete suite of casino games featuring most of the major table games (other than Craps which isn't particularly popular online) and even a Video Poker game. The company is operated by the same team responsible for the SoftSwiss casino platform and Direx N.V. license. BGaming do not always publish the slots house edge information of all their games, but have done is this instance and as such we know that the house edge for Four Lucky Clover is 6%.
Four Lucky Clover is a 5 reel slots game that is 3 symbols high. The game uses standard paylines, with 10 in total, playing adjacently across those lines (your win does not need to start from the left side of the reels as is traditional.
This is a basic fruit machine, so there isn’t really much of theme present. However, the clover is the key symbol and there is the sound of traditional Celtic music in the background, which makes this slot lean towards an Irish theme.
Valuable Symbol – The most valuable standard symbol in is the “Love Heart”.
Wild – The “Clover” is the Wild symbol, which will substitute for all symbols but will only appear during the Bonus feature. However, when it does land during the Bonus it will come fully stacked.
Lucky Spins – You trigger the Lucky Spin Bonus when you land a win that is x4 your bet. When this happens the grid will disappear and will then be replaced by 4 identical, but smaller grids. The number of Lucky Bonus spins you get will be linked to the size of the triggering win in relation to the bet, up to a maximum of 50 Spins. It is important to note that these are not Free Spins, that you will need to x4 the triggering bet to play each set of reels through and as such the only advantages come from the following modifiers:
Stacked Wilds – You can land Stacked Wilds on the Lucky Spins, something you cannot do on the base game and if you land one set, a set will be added to all the other reels too. Stacked Wilds only appear on the middle reel.
This is an interesting slot that on the surface appears to be nothing all that special. This is because the design is so basic and so unremarkable that there’s no reason to expect much from it. Having said that I do like the central feature, which is one I haven’t seen before but it is very important to point out that the Lucky Spins are not Free Spins and that you are playing for each every one of them. If you can land a Wild symbol during those spins then they will become advantageous but without that Wild the spins are no different to the ones in the base game. So, essentially this is a slot that doesn’t appear remarkable, has a feature that does appear remarkable but under close scrutiny turns out to be not all that remarkable. Add to this a house edge that is far too high and you have a slot worth avoiding.
