The Wild Wizards slots game can be found at casinos offering Genii software. Genii is one of the newer software developers in the online gaming market. Alongside many of the smaller casino software providers Genii focus heavily on slots games. The House Edge/RTP of the Genii slots games is sometimes listed within the paytable for the newer games in their catalogue. For the older games, as Genii is partnered with UK licensed operators and the UKGC license requires the publication of this information, RTP figures can be found on numerous casino sites. As such we know that the house edge for Wild Wizards is 8%.
Wild Wizards is a 5 reel game that is 3 symbols high. The game plays over 25 paylines, playing from left to right.
Wild – The Wild symbol is the “Wizard”. The “Wizard” symbol will substitute for all symbols other than the Free Spins and Scatter symbols. The “Wizard” symbol is also the most valuable symbol in the game, with 5 of them as part of a winning payline earning you 10,000 coins.
Free Spins– The “Cat” symbol is the Free Spins symbol. 3 or more will trigger the game’s Free Spins feature.
Scatter – The “Owl” is the game’s Scatter symbol, meaning that 3 or more will pay out regardless of paylines. 5 will win you 2500 coins.
Free Spins – Landing 3 of the “Cat” symbols will award you with 10 Free Spins. 4 of the “Cat” symbols will award you with 15 Free Spins. 5 of the “Cat” symbols will award you with 20 Free Spins. Free Spins can be re-triggered during the feature and all wins are multiplied by 3.
Wild Wizards is an attempt at a magical offering from the software developers at Genii. The game is filled with the sorts of symbols that you would associate with wizardry; everything from owls and cats to spell books and crystal balls. Thanks to Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings Wizards are big business and most slots companies make sure they have something special to compete in the market with. Unfortunately, Genii have not produced something that will allow them to compete. The game does not look great, with symbols that lack detail and a background that should be offering us much more than it currently does. The features are also a let-down. The worst part has to be the house edge. At 8% this game offers very poor value for money and is best avoided.
