Online Casinos Australia

Postby bazza74 » Sat Sep 09, 2017 6:09 am

Hi Everyone,
I am new to this forum site. I have been playing at 32 Red and Omni casinos for the past few years. Whilst I haven't hit it big, I have enjoyed a bit of a gamble. When I lose I don't play again for a while. I have had a few fair sized payouts and have found both those casinos trustworthy. However, due to changes in the laws here, that I don't really understand, both those Casinos no longer accept Aussie players. 32RED closed my account, about 3 months ago and last week Omni told me, it too was closing. To Omni's credit they quickly paid out the A$870 I had in the account. Now I wonder is it still possible that there are any trustworthy Casinos that still accept Aussies?

Hi bazza74,

The basics of what's going on in that the Australian government have passed a law essentially putting a prohibition on online gambling, similar to what happened in the US in 2006. This fundamentally doesn't work, but that's a political conversation for some other time.

At the present time effectively every reputable operator has already pulled out of the Australian market or is doing so right now. We're getting so many change reports through on this issue atm that I couldn't give you an accurate picture of who's leaving and who's not, but I suspect that when the dust settles the only operators that will still be accepting Australian traffic will be the same rogue outfits that currently accept US traffic. So unfortunately my advice would be to find another hobby. Your governments laws won't stop you playing online, but they will make it far more likely that you'll get ripped off.

Sorry I can't give you happier news,

TP

Some of the recommended casinos on The Pogg still accept Australians, but not many. This number will dwindle further soon I expect.

For some reason Betsson still allows Australians, whether this will continue past 2017 will be interesting to see.

Betvoyager still allows Australians as well. Another that my be closed to Australians soon.

I have been registered on both Betsson and Betvoyager for many years and have found both of them as very honest casinos.

I'd caution against trusting the casinos that are currently listed as accepting Australians on the site. We're changing them as we get alerts through from our monitoring systems that the operators have added Australia to their restricted list in their terms and conditions. But some casinos don't list the restricted countries in their terms and others may have changed their terms urls since we set up the monitor (meaning we're no longer monitoring their terms but aren't aware of it). An improved terms monitoring system should be available in the next month or so.

If I see which casinos are remaining, it doesn't look very well.
