Sportsbook Recommendations

Postby thePOGG » Tue Sep 03, 2013 8:34 am

I've had a few requests of late to recommend some products outside of casinos. I don't have nearly as much experience with sports betting as I do with casino gambling and while Aramon does a good amount of sports betting, his participation is in the offline fields. What I do have is a wealth of knowledge and experience about the reputations and behaviors of the casinos listed on ThePOGG, which should allow me to provide information on quality venues to meet your sports betting needs. So here goes;

Image - Redbet have come a long way in the last few years, expanding their casino services massively and turning the fortunes of their company round very quickly. By and large this has been down to their focus on customer service and listening to feedback from players. With a casino product that's so well managed their sportsbook is bound to be great.

You can sign-up to Redbet by clicking here.

Image - 32 Red have a very strong reputation as one of the best casinos on the net. And this reputation hasn't been earned in the recent past, they've been consistent for over a decade in ensuring their players are the best treated on the web. Their sportsbook product will no doubt offer an excellent service!

You can sign-up to 32 Red by clicking here.

Image - Cherry sportsbook are the sportsbook for Cherry casino, the sister property to EuroSlots. This group are exceptionally player friendly and have done well to establish themselves in the very competitive European market. With a very low level of player complaints and a high quality product there are few better choices you could make.

You can sign-up to Cherry by clicking here.

Image - ComeOn! sportsbook are part of a very reputable group of European focused gambling operations. Year in year out they've remained consistently 'Recommended' at ThePOGG and the level of player complaints are very low. Short of our Deposit Guaranteed operators, ComeOn! are one that we're comfortable acknowledging as a top quality operation.

ImagePinnacle Sports have carved out an empire from offering a quality service and have become renouned for offering the best lines in the business and not restricting skilled players. They can do this because of their highly skilled team of line settors who actually follow the market and constantly make adjustments to ensure they can offer the most accurate lines. Pinnacle is where I used play when wagering on tennis and Aramon's picks before they exited the UK market ;)

Coral I would consider the best overall bookie out of this top 5 list. They have mobile casino, mobile sportsbook and every betting product you need. They have good odds on a lot of sports and seems to be zero complaints.

Never really noticed this section ..

I bet more on the sports side of things..And my overall top just now is Ladbrokes ..The good thing with Ladbrokes is lets say you dont want to use your bank or use methods where you can reverse the funds and then bet again after winning use ladbrokes and bet with ukash when u win u then phone up get them to call the local shop and have your winnings ready for you (i think corals and hills do this to) so always good if the reverse button is to tempting..Another thing i would say is if you fancy a horse strongly say every bookie has this horse marked up early at 4/1 ..go and have a look at betway ,i no betway aint accredited casino wise but there early morning prices are the price the horse will 90% of the time open around all sites..Betway dont do best odds guaranteed but use them as a guide pretty eye opening at times.I only go with sites that i find are pretty easy to find your way around and coral and betvictor and hills are up there with them , however my account with betvictor is now closed after a falling out :) .But for casino/sportbook combo Ladbrokes has to be my number one

Personally, as a product I quite like Ladbrokes. Where they fall down for me is that they're too big. They're not really interested in being given constructive feedback from sites like this one. My communications with them have always revolved around them wanting to get more traffic from me - which is great and what most of programs want. Unfortunately when I go to discuss how they could improve their rankings, what I get back has been along the lines of 'yeah, but we're offering you great rev share, so it's in your best interests to move us to your top spot' or 'we've got a great exclusive bonus that we want to offer your players, but we're not going to unless you move us to the top spot'. Essentially there's no willingness to engage in constructive discussion of improvement of their product and instead they simply want to 'buy' greater exposure. I realise that the vast majority of the affiliate market functions in this fashion but I don't and it make it impossible for me to actually give Ladbrokes any more exposure than they currently receive.

It's almost always frustrating dealing with any problem at any casino via their customer service. The reality is that they rarely know all the details of how their casino functions and normally don't have the authority to actually do anything themselves.

Id just like to make a comment on ladbrokes whole Vegas/casino/gaming section

Ok so the other day i put money into my gaming wallet was only a small amount and up popped a offer of a bonus of 150% on top of my £30 so since it was a low amount i accepted it giving me £75 so i played threw my £30 and it wouldnt let me play there bonus so opens live chat explains whats went on

they confirmed that this was a error on there behalf and asked me to send them a screenshot of the error i said i was busy with horse betting and id do it later so between races i sent in the screenshot and got a email back saying they would fix it as soon as poss etc so later in the day between races i decided to put more money into gaming the £45 bonus was still sitting in bonus funds

So i transferred £300 into the gaming wallet which links to Vegas/Casino/Live Casino and i then tried to transfer cash back to sports wallet and it had locked the £300 onto the £45 bonus so went on livechat and spoke to a guy for nere on a hour trying to explain it all he told me contact back on monday (this was saturday) i did lose it a bit but waited till i calmed down before contacting again.

The next day the first lady i dealt with sorted it unlocked all cash ..I then sent them a email saying i was pretty peed off at what happened they offered me a £5 bonus with 20/30 x wager i thought they were having a laugh so replied i then was contacted again this time with a £50 bonus with 20x wagering and 10 free spins on a slot ..So really i thought id never turn it over enough but did get a fair run to start with they had put £100 bonus in instead i opened livechat to let them no about this mistake they had made

So the guy removed the £50 left me with £50 bonus and £22 i won ..I played all day and opened live chat and said can i transfer the £22 the livechat said yea so after it all i tried and it come up error account freeze or something like that so i opened live chat again and explained but all the one moment please kept doing my head in so closed chat ..

My thinking is theres a error on the site with the gaming wallet in general and just wondered has anyone else had this problem after it i emailed them to say please fix my account i dont want to sound like a complete moan but did want it sorted ..So from now i wont enter into gaming at all it seems since the new casino has come in more and more problems appear

And thePOGG did pic up on something there by saying there to big ..This is the a problem with them they have everything and anything to be on games/slots/casino/vegas/livecasino/sports/exchanges/ the list goes on it just seems the live chat have been given a big job and some no what you mean and others just have no clue as it is that big .But the problem with real cash getting locked in with bonuses is so frustrating because they need to go threw everything to see whats up ..I asked the guy when the £300 went in what the supposed bonus was i entered he didnt no ..So i was in a bonus with £300 where staff told me i had to turn it 30x but were unsure on what bonus so if i did as first told and turned my £300 over 30x what was i getting my cash back lol

Anyway they did do well in the end to make me happy with the £50 bonus but mucked up on that tooo lol hopefully they do get back on track and try get rid of some things thats not needed.Maybe if they made one wallet all it would help ive also noticed them not paying out on "your daily bonus" there was a bonus play this slot get 50% cash back i had to beg for £7 odds and felt like i was lying i was not interested in the £7 it was more principle of it..It happened again it was for £2 odds i never chassed it up but the now the site is stressing me out when i play it casino wise so im going to leave it until they have everything working again. There doing the customers well like good will gestures but when they muck up then its like banging your head of a brick wall

Hey xalksx,

That's quite the story!

If I'm totally honest the problems don't surprise me but in saying that I'd emphasize that I feel sympathy for the Ladbrokes staff. They've just shifted away from the Microgaming platform they've operated for over a decade. It was inevitable that they would - they were the last major high street bookmaker using MG and to my mind the last major operator other than 32 Red, but regardless of how much training you give your staff in the run up to events like this there are always going to be teething issues when the change occurs.

Re. my statement about them being too big - I kind of agree with what you were saying but it's not what I'd meant. Many casinos are happy to take traffic from affiliate websites, but not interested in anything that affiliates have to say. The sad truth of this is that affiliates have been their own worst enemies in this respect, behaving in many instances completely without ethics, breaking confidences and generally helping to make the industry less reputable rather than more. However, this poses a problem for a site like this that relies on the casinos we work with being prepared to take on board the feedback we give. Unfortunately many of the biggest names in the business just aren't interested in anything any affiliate has to say any more.

In your shoes, I'd give Ladbrokes a while to iron out the issues and pick up where you left off. Overall I do think they are a good operation.

Yea in agreement there for example and this near tipped me over the edge

I opened livechat hi your speaking to joe bloggs here how may i help ..I mostly have everything written down then have my security details ready to hit enter so we do the "hi how are you today" etc ..Then we get into the problem so we talk about it in depth and then i get yea we can help you with that ...One moment please now ive had this one moment thing 10 times in one session one time lol so after this big convo they go "i will transfer you to so and so" then it appears joe bloggs has passed me over to someone else ..And i have to start all over the steam just comes out the ears lol

But your right in what you say there having teething problems and just cant handle all the traffic thats hitting them they must be frustrated in themselfs
From your point of view there a big company so to them your a small fish i suppose why should they talk to you when they can sort it thats what i think there thinking when infact my main problem is my temper so lets say even something like a £300 dispute im up to high doors my hearts racing im so angry and could do with someone like yourself being the middle man to help me out but if there not willing to do that then thats there call i suppose same old story want the custom but not the advice i do fill in allot of there feedback things and it asks would u like to be contacted about this..And i never here back ..So yea there that big that really loseing a customer over a few 100 quid doesnt worry them as they have loads more customers there ...Tbh i think there should be a thing in place where a 3rd party like yourself can help no matter if they like it or not but that will never happen .overall im happy with ladbrokes and the teething problems will hopefully sort themselfs out..One thing i will say when you open the casino and hit live chat a box pops up that you cant close for good until the guys finished with you lol there very good i think there all casino and very helpfull
