SupaJax

SupaJax is a Video Poker game which is a modified version of Jacks or Better. The SupaJax game adds an additional card to the deck, the ‘SupaJax’. This card does not help any hand other than 4 Jacks, where if the SupaJax is the fifth card the game pays out the progressive jackpot. The basic changes to the Jacks or Better paytable – other than the SupaJax payout – are a reduction of the Royal Flush, Full House and Flush payouts.

SupaJax is only available at Microgaming casinos;

Some notes on the table below;

- We’ve included both the 5 coin House Edge and the House Edge when playing 1-4 coins. The House Edge for 1-4 coins are the same and as such only one figure is listed. To find the house edge/paytable for 2-4 coins just multiple the 1 coin figure by the number of coins.

Microgaming

Microgaming 5 coins 1-4 coins
4oaK Jacks with SuperJax 16416-61533 0
Royal Flush 3000 250
Straight Flush 250 50
4oaK 125 25
Full House 35 9
Flush 25 6
Straight 20 4
3oaK 15 3
2 Pairs 10 2
Jacks or Better 5 1
House Edge (-1.67%)-6.26% 9.27%

* The paytables for 2, 3 and 4 coins are just the paytable for 1 coin multiplied by the number of coins. The House Edge for 1-4 coins are all equal at 9.27%.

* Microgaming documentation lists the House Edge for SupaJax as 9.57%. This House Edge could only be achieved if the 4oaK Jacks with SupaJax payout was reset at 0 and the player used a general Jack or Better strategy rather than a strategy optimized to the jackpot size.

* The negative house edge value indicates that the player has an edge over the house when the jackpot reaches a certain point. The breakeven point for this game is a jackpot of 52400 coins or $52400.

*All figures in this article rely on use of a strategy optimized to the specific paytable in use. Use of any other strategy will increase the House Edge. You can find the optimized strategy for any paytable using the calculators on this page.
