APCW’s Anthony Telesca Surgery Fund Raiser Plea
by Glenn Baird - September 18, 2019
Anthony Telesca, a prominent member of the iGaming community and a regular poster on the GPWA and APCW forums has recently been diagnosed with a condition known as spinal stenosis.
The illness leads to a compression in the spinal column, resulting pain, cramping, weakness or numbness in the lower back and legs, neck, shoulder or arms. The condition can become so severe that even walking small distances can become unbearable.
There is no cure for spinal stenosis, which is essentially a form of arthritis that effects the spinal column. However, surgery can alleviate the pain and make everyday activities bearable enough for sufferers to live as normally as can be expected.
After months of back and fourth between Anthony’s doctors and his insurance company a figure of $13,500 has been agreed, leaving Anthony with the new challenge of having to raise the money.
Add to this the fact that patients who undergo the treatment are left bedridden and unable to move for several weeks following the operation, means that Anthony will not be back working for some time.
JTodd from the APCW forums has set up a fundraising page to try and help Anthony through the financial burden that the surgery will bring him.
Anthony is the Executive Director of the APCW Association of Players, Casinos, and Webmasters, a group he set up with Jay Todd that looks, to “fight for honesty, integrity, and transparency in the online gaming industry.”
In their time the APCW have helped iGaming affiliates retrieve millions of dollars from programs that would not have paid up without their suuport.
If you think that you can help Anthony with the cost of his treatment then please follow the link to his fundraising page where you can do just that, as you can see we at ThePogg have done below.
