LeoVegas and Kambi Resign on the Dotted Line
by Glenn Baird - August 26, 2020
LeoVegas and Sports betting supplier Kambi Group have agreed to expend their partnership, allowing LeoVegas to have control over all the sportsbooks under the Kambi Group’s control.
The multi-year deal will see LeoVegas’ catalogue of sports betting brands will now be controlled by Kambi.
Some of those brands include the likes of BetUK and 21.co.uk.
In the example of BetUK, that was previously controlled by SBTech, LeoVegas bought out the parent company (Rocket X) back in January 2018.
Kambi’s chief product and technology officer Mattias Wedar had this to say on the deal:
“We are pleased to continue our sports betting journey with Kambi, a partnership which has brought about real success as we continue to deliver on our sports betting ambitions and becoming the King of Casino.”
Kambi helped LeoVegas launch their sportsbook back in 2016 and has allowed the operator to extend it’s growth into more countries.
Kambi chief executive Kristian Nylén said: “We are proud to have agreed this partnership extension with LeoVegas, and that Kambi will now provide its sports betting services to the other popular brands in the LeoVegas group.”
“Kambi is the partner operators can trust to provide the powerful sportsbook core and flexible technology they need to unlock their sports betting potential, and it is fantastic to have this recognised by an operator as highly regarded as LeoVegas.”
