LeoVegas in Big Time Gaming Exclusive
by Glenn Baird - December 8, 2020

The exclusives are coming thick and fast over at LeoVegas, with the most recent “play here for a short time only” release coming thanks to the team over at Big Time Gaming.
The slot is called Cyberslot Megaclusters, which should be enough to tell fans of the software providers that this is not one of BTG’s Megaways ventures.
However, game mechanics are most certainly at the centre of things, with the brand new Megaclusters game mechanic taking all the limelight.
Cyberslot Megaclusters

The design of the slot is fairly typical for a Big Time Gaming release, with basics being preferred over anything too shiny.
This slot is firmly in the Starburst line of thought, using bright, distinguishable symbols, but nothing too complex. Shapes and colours that fit into the theme of space, mean that the asteroids and stars won’t offer up anything you haven’t seen before, helping to create a slot that is comforting in its familiarity.
There is a Wild symbol that does what all Wild symbols do, substituting for all other symbols other than roaming Wilds. In fact, there are 3 different Wild symbols, but only 2 are available in the base game: Standard Wilds and Roaming Wilds.
Roaming Wilds – The Roaming Wild is always on the reels and will move to a different symbol space with each spin. The Roaming Wild comes with a multiplier that begins at 1x and increases by 1 for every reaction on a single spin. It will continue to increase by 1 as long as you can keep landing winning reactions on 1 spin.
Roaming Rainbow Wilds – These are only available during the Free Spins and aren’t really all that different from the Roaming Wilds, except they begin at the value that the Roaming Wild was at when the Free Spins triggered and they are a tiny symbol within a 9 symbol Megacluster.
Speaking of which, how do you trigger the Free Spins? Not as easily as you might think. This is a reactions slot, meaning that every time you form a win you will be given another spin, something I will explain in more detail in just a minute. That additional spin can then than you another win and, in theory, the process can continue indefinitely. To trigger the Free Spins you need 12 of these reactions in a row, something that will not happen very often and once you do you’ll only get 6 Free Spins. Additional spins can be won if you can manage to get your roaming Wild up to 10x the bet.
Megacluster Mechanic

Like a Megaways slot, this one is all about its game mechanic and this time we are dealing with the Megacluster mechanic. The base game will begin with 3 rows and 3 columns. However, as you hit the spin button one symbol space will be chosen at random and filled with 9 different symbols. If you win then all the symbols involved will turn into 9 symbols each and you will see the reels spin again. If you win using one of the 9 symbol clusters they act they are their own separate set of reels within the bigger set of reels. Symbols within those 9 that form a win will disappear and existing symbols will drop down before new symbols fall into place. You could end up with 9 symbols on each symbol space and it is worth noting that the Free Spins all 9 spaces are filled with Megaclusters.
The Megacluster is a fun new mechanic and I offers something a little different to the Megaways mechanic. However, I would be very surprised to see it take off in the same way that the Megaway has, as it lacks the variety and madness that Megaways offer.
