by Glenn Baird - February 12, 2020

SBTech, one of the industry’s leading providers of technology for the igaming market announced yesterday that they would be adding Wanabet.es to their stable of online sportsbooks.
Wanabet.es are an R. Franco brand and claim to have been formed from “100% Spanish capital and 50 years of history”. The company believe that their migration to SBTech will see them enter, alongside the likes of Bethard, “the Big League” of online gambling.
The deal will allow Wanabet to deliver a full range of betting options on their sportsbook, in a deal that they will hope sees them become one of the biggest players in the Spanish market.
Andrew Cochrane, Chief Development Officer at SBTech, said: “The migration of yet another visionary brand to SBTech is testament to not only our innovative product offering, but also the strength of our commercial and product teams throughout a rigorous sales process. We look forward to working closely with R. Franco to take them to the next level of performance through our industry-leading, market-ready sportsbook.
“The migration process can often appear daunting for an operator, but our extensive experience in what has now been multiple successful migrations to the SBTech sportsbook created the perfect foundation for R. Franco to seamlessly migrate to SBTech. This is the first of many we can expect to see during 2020.”
Javier Sacristán Franco, Digital and Operations Director of R. Franco, added: “Spain is a rapidly evolving and growing market and to build on our success we knew we had to take our offering to the next level. We firmly believe that SBTech’s best-in-class sportsbook will enable us to achieve this and futureproof the business for many years to come.”
SBTech are one of the biggest names in sports betting technology, with over 1,200 employees in 10 offices around the world. The company’s reach is now so widespread that they find themselves working with companies in 15 different territories worldwide.
SBTech and Bethard

In 2018 SBTech struck a 5-year deal with Bethard Casino in a partnership that say the tech giants make further inroads into the European and Scandinavian market.
Back in 2018, Andrew Cochrane, CCO of SBTech had this to say about the deal: “The extension of our agreement with Bethard is testament to the increasing value of our partnership and the high level of trust we’ve built with the team over the past few years.
“We work closely with our operators to grow their revenues and have a proven track record of delivering above average market growth. Our goal is to always provide our customers with superior solutions that deliver standout value in the most competitive regulated territories, and I anticipate even greater success for both companies as the latest chapter in the Bethard story unfolds.”
With Erik Scarp, CEO of Bethard, adding: “Our partnership with SBTech has been a significant growth driver for the business across key markets, and I’m delighted we have agreed a long-term extension in line with our rapid expansion into a host of new and emerging territories.
