SIA Casino in DC’s The Flash Exclusive

Posted by THEPOGG on Nov 27, 2020

SIA Casino has released a new DC themed slot thanks to Playtech that is exclusive with the operator for a short time only.

The Flash was created back in 1939 and infamous for his superhuman speed, not just in terms of his movement but also speed of thought, a combination of which would often allow him to defy certain laws of physics.

Like all DC superheroes there has been many different incarnations of The Flash over the years, but the Red and Yellow suit with the lightening bolt on his chest has been ever-present since his conception during World War II.

The character has played a part in films, but so far only as a member of the Justice League and TV, with a series released back in 2017. But, it is the comics where he has proved to be most at home. Now, with the release of an exclusive slot, courtesy of SIA Casinos, we’ll determine just how well he gets on in a casino Lobby.

The Flash Slot

The slot has a typical 5×3 reel formation and a quick look will tell you that its influences and style come from modern adaptations of the comic book character.

The narrative being used to inspire the slot is that of the Reverse Flash, the Flash’s ultimate nemesis, one who holds all the same powers that he does, except using negative speed, instead of positive speed.

With this in mind I will be disappointed if that reverse aspect doesn’t make its way into the slot through a feature of some sort.

The slot has 50 paylines, playing from left to right and you can bet between 0.5 and 500 units per spin, depending on your jurisdiction. The house edge is 4.86%, which is higher than most but about average for a Playtech slot.

The “Flash” symbol is Wild, doing what all Wild symbols do but only landing on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5, which, of course takes a bit of the shine off if we can’t get Wild on reel 1.

The “Flash and Reverse Flash” symbols are the scatter. Landing 5 of them anywhere on the reels will trigger the Battle Feature”. Before the Battle feature begins you need to choose if you are going to back the good guy or the villain. “Flash” symbols land on reel 2 and “Reverse Flash” symbol land on reel 4. There are 5 cash prizes to be won and you will get them if the corresponding symbol lands on its reel during your spin. In other words, if you chose the “Flash” symbol then you get the prize if a “Flash” symbol lands and nothing if a “Reverse Flash” symbol lands, and vice versa.

There is also a Jackpot, the standard one that seems to come with all DC slots released by Playtech.

And that is “The Flash” slot, released by Playtech, with exclusive access to anyone who plays at SIA Casinos. Ultimately, the slot could be better designed, as the symbol are all quite simple and the background is pretty much just a grey screen. The features are standard and I would have liked to have seen a little more invention, some reversing reels, for example.

However, if you are a fan of the DC slot range over at SIA Casinos then I am sure this latest version will appeal as it doesn’t deviate from the formula and it gives you something new to sink your teeth into.
