88 Fortunes Slot Review

The 88 Fortunes slots game can be found at online casinos offering WMS Gaming software who are a wholly owned subsidiary of Scientific Gaming. WMS Gaming do not publish their RTP or House Edge figures as standard. However UKGC licensed operators who now publish all game figures as standard. As such we can say that the House Edge of 88 Fortunes is 4.00%. As this figure has not been confirmed by the software provider we cannot confirm whether this game is configurable or not. As such this figure should be treated as a guideline only when playing at any operator that does not publish their RTP figures.

Is 88 your lucky number?

88 Fortunes is a 5 reel game that does not use standard paylines. Instead any 3 or more matching symbols anywhere in adjacent rows starting from the left side of the reels constitutes a win. This is equivalent to 243 standard paylines.

The ‘Fu Bat’ symbol is Wild and only appears on reels 2, 3 and 4.

There are two bonus features when playing 88 Fortunes. The first bonus features is activated when the player chooses to wager additional credits to open up potential jackpots. When spinning at 8 credits no jackpot is available. At 18 credits the Mini jackpot is available. At 38 the Mini and Minor jackpots are available. At 68 credits the Mini, Minor and Major jackpots are available. At 88 credits all jackpots are available including Grand. While playing each time you receive a Fu Bat Wild symbol anywhere on reels 2, 3 or 4 this may trigger the bonus feature. When the bonus feature is triggered you will be taken to a new screen showing 12 coins. Select the coins one at a time to reveal jackpots. When you reveal 3 of the same jackpot symbol you are awarded that jackpot and the bonus feature ends.

The second bonus feature is triggered when you receive 3 or more of the ‘Gong’ bonus symbol on adjacent reels starting from the left side of the reels. When this happens you will be awarded 10 complimentary spins. During the complimentary spins all 9, 10, J, Q, K, A are removed from the reels. Complimentary spins can be retriggered.

Conclusion

88 Fortunes has an okay House Edge at 4%, but the game itself just isn’t all that remarkable compared to others coming out of the WMS Gaming stable. We’d recommend checking out some of their other recent releases instead.
