Asgard Slot Review

Released: May 2018

The Asgard slot game can be found at casinos offering Pragmatic Play software. Pragmatic Play are one of the newer slots game developers on the market but their products are polished and professional in feel and operation. As a standard Pragmatic Play do publish the RTP/House Edge information for their slots games within their game help file. For a provider that are not currently licensed within the UK market and therefore are under no obligation to publish these figures this is a significantly progressive move. The House Edge of Asgard is 3.52%.

War rumbles amongst the Gods as the very foundations of Asgard are shaken in the conflict.

Agard is a 5 reel game with 25 paylines and you can bet up to 10 coins on each payline.

The ‘Asgard’ symbol is Wild.

There are five bonus features when playing Asgard. The first bonus is triggered randomly at the end of a spin. When this happens the Hammer of Thor will strike the reels and turn all 10, J, Q, K and A symbols will be turned into Asgard Wild symbols.

The second bonus feature is activated randomly during the spin and will turn a random number of reels into Wild reels.

The third bonus feature is triggered randomly during a spin and when this happens Freya will turn up to 5 randomly selected symbols into Asgard Wild symbols.

The fourth bonus feature is activated randomly. When this happens a mystery symbol is added stacked to all reels. At the end of the spin all mystery symbols in view are changed into the same symbol randomly selected from the paytable.

The fifth bonus feature is triggered when you receive the ‘Helm’ bonus symbol anywhere on reels 2, 3 and 4. When this happens you are awarded 5 free spins. Before the free spins start you are taken to a new screen where one of the four bonus features described above selected. This bonus feature is guaranteed to occur each spin during the free spins. Free spins are played on an alternative set of reels. Free spins cannot be retriggered.

Conclusion

Asgard is a good game but not fantastic. Visually it’s reasonable without standing out. The bonus features are varied but nothing innovative or particularly engaging. And the House Edge is on the attractive side of those coming out today, but again not exciting. There’s not much to criticise but neither is there anything to really gush about.
