The Aztec Spins slot can be found at casinos offering Red Tiger software. Red Tiger is a relatively new software developer in the online gaming market, having only been in operation since 2014. Red Tiger focus primarily on slots games but do offer a few table games, albeit a very limited range of them. In compliance with UK gaming legislation, Red Tiger publish the RTP/House Edge information for their slot games within their pay tables. As such, we can say that the House Edge for Aztec Spins is 4.29%.
Aztec Spins is a 6 reel slot and each reel is 4 symbols high. There are 30 paylines in total, playing from left to right.
Theme – The Aztec themed slot has all the usual mix of totems and masks that you might expect. In the background you will see various temples sitting on top of mountains.
Wild – There is no Wild symbol in this slot.
Aztec Wheel – If you land a fully visible 2x2 Aztec Wheel symbol on reels 3 and 4 you will trigger a spin on the Aztec Wheel.
Aztec Wheels – If you land a spin on the Aztec Wheel then you will have the chance to win one of the following:
Locked Symbols – When the Wheel stops on a symbol, that symbol will fill the 3rd and 4th reels. The reels with then spin and the lock reels will remain in place until you land a win. Every time another one of these symbols lands on the reels it will stick in place.
Stacking Multiplier – If you land on the Multiplier a 10x Multiplier will be in play and will be applied to the next win that you land. If you land another spin of the Aztec Wheel before you land a win then you will have another 10x adding to the existing one, up to a maximum of 30x the bet.
Wheel Respin – If you get the Stacking Multiplier up to 30x the bet then you will be given respins until you land a win.
Free Spins – If you land the Free Spins you will be give 12 to begin with. Every time a fully visible Aztec Wheel symbol lands you will be given an additional 6 spins. The Aztec Wheel lands more regularly during the Free Spins.
Aztec Spins is a fairly typically Red Tiger slot. What I mean by this is that it looks excellent and has a few interesting features but is arguably missing that special little ingredient to make it a special slot. You get an excellent bonus feature that can award Free Spins, resins or multipliers, but there is no Wild and there is nothing all that innovative about the bonus. The house edge is higher than we like to see, meaning this one falls a little short of the mark needed to great score from us.
