The Banana Rock game can be found at casinos offering Play ‘n Go software. Play ‘n Go are a growing providers in the industry and have a rapidly expanding portfolio of both slots games and clients. They do offer a full casino platform, but primarily seem to be used as a bolt on package for extra slots games. Play ‘n Go do publish the Return to Player (RTP)/House Edge information for their slots games within the game help files. As such we know that the house edge for Banana Rock is 4%.
The Banana Rock game has 5 reels and each reel is 3 symbols high. The game uses 10 paylines, playing from left to right.
Wild – The “Gold Disk” symbols are Wild, substituting for all symbols other than Scatters.
Rock ‘n’ Rollin Wild – The “Rock ‘n’ Rollin” Wild is a gold disk with a monkey’s face. The “Rock ‘n’ Rollin Wild” acts as a normal Wild until you manage to reveal 2 or more of them on a single spin. When you do you will be granted a free spin and the “Rock ‘n’ Rollin Wilds” will stick in place. Then the “Rock ‘n’ Rollin Wild” furthest to the right will move to the left in the direction of the “Rock ‘n’ Rollin Wild” that is furthest to the left. With each move either to the left or up or down, a new “Rock ‘n’ Rollin Wild” will be left in place. All the new Wilds will stick in place for the re-spin.
Scatters – The “Banana Rock” symbol is the game’s Scatter. 2 or more of them will trigger 10 Free Spins. “Banana Rock” symbols only appear on reels 1 and 5.
Stacked Band Members – Stacked Band Members exist in both the main game and the Free Spins. However, during the Free Spins they will also apply a multiplier to any further Free Spin wins, up to x5 the bet.
Encore Spin – After your 10 Free Spins you will be granted 1 Encore Spin. The multipliers collected from the Free Spins are combined and applied to any wins on the Encore Spin, up to a maximum of x25 the bet. Only Banana Band members can appear during the Encore Spin.
Banana Rock is a great looking game that places you on stage with a band of rockstar monkeys. Along with looking good, the game also sounds pretty good with riffs and jingles peppering your ears with each spin. However, I will warn that after a while those good sounds do begin to grate a little and you might find yourself reaching for the mute button. The game has Free Spins and Wilds, with some funky, extra special wilds thrown in for fun and some multiplier additions added to the Free Spins. I like the concept of the encore spin and I also like what it brings the game. The house edge is the 4% standard for Play ‘n Go, which means that after a brief hiatus with a more generous RTP in the last release, we are firmly back on familiar and slightly disappointing value for money ground again.
